    Please increase tags functionality for iOS devices: 1) We need *simple* multi-tag search. 2) We need auto-populate of tag names. 3) We need the tag library to reflect our desktop organization (e.g. order, nesting, etc), just as with Notebooks. The iOS apps are horridly crippled without these functions in place. Without them, you have only a few options: 1) Do without multi-tag filtering... Do you have something tagged for a person AND as an agenda item (something to talk about next time you see that person)? Too bad, you can only pull up EVERYTHING for that person, which may include years of emails, mtg notes, etc. OR you can pull up EVERYTHING tagged as "agenda", thus including large numbers of items irrelevant to who you are actually standing with. Insert your own example of useful multi-characteristic filtering, then accept that you can't accomplish them. 2) Utilize saved searches... This works perfectly, but causes, as it has caused with my Evernote, your Shortcut list to become monstrously long defeating to some degree the idea of a "shortcut list". In the end, you choose a few definitely needed multi-tag searches and resign yourself to option #1 above for most things. 3) Attempt to use complicated boolean search strings... This works in a highly non-intuitive way AND requires you to remember the exact wording of your desired tags, often difficult in situations where you are looking for a person for instance and don't remember if you listed them as Dan or Daniel. If you utilize an extensive tag list (a strength of the desktop Evernote applications) this works almost never, thus you resort to a few items under option #2, and mostly surrender to option #1. It seems quite strange that this is an unavailable functionality, especially because of how many people tell me it WAS available prior to 2011/2012. It's a very frustrating situation which is crippling the usability of the iOS apps for easy daily use. Please fix, or at least give us some idea of why this oft asked for functionality is still unavailable. Thank you!

    I'm a happy Evernote user, but I miss a feature many people have asked for and will greatly appreciate - support for LaTeX formulas. If may sound complicated, but integration should be actually extremely simple. Here's how it could work: 1) Similarly to URL-to-hyperlink conversion, a LaTeX formula could be automatically generated by converting text surrounded by specific characters ($ in LaTeX). For example, I can type "Today we will discuss how equations of the form $ax^2 + bx + c = 0$ can be solved" 2) Finally, the formula text can be converted to an image. Luckily, there are many online services that given the LaTeX source produce a PNG image (even with transparency and custom color by some services). So the only thing the Evernote team needs to implement is to provide the option to automatically and manyally convert a piece of text to an image by querying some well-established online service. So adding LaTeX math support boild down to implementing a simple UI feature! Now it sounds simple, but this could be a selling point to a huge amount of people (especially in academia). I'm not aware of any good note taking tool that has seamless formula integration and synchronization. Even in the current Evernote state the functionality can be emulated by dragging LaTeX formula images to Evernote. However, this is tedious and does not facilitate modifications. Therefore, it would be good after the image has been acquired, the source text to be saved along for future modifications. What do you think, Evernote staff? P.S. I just saw on your blog that you're supporting the use of Evernote in schools, etc. This makes the suggested feature even more prominent.

    Hello EV, In your email newsletter today (7/25/18), you wrote: "A dream team isn’t just having 'the smartest people in the room.' It’s about being open and not afraid of a challenge.” So here’s a challenge: implement “Find and Replace” and, therefore, respond to many years worth of user requests. Let’s face it: this feature is long overdue.

    I thought I had seen this problem surface once before, and it took some digging, but here it is, from January of this year, with discussion reporting similar results, including the workaround of renaming the extension: At the time, I did some testing and found that it is possible to drag .txt files into a note as attachments using the Web interface (https://www.evernote.com/Home.action); and that on my Android phone I could attach a .txt file to a note through the menu (there's no dragging on Android).

    I have had Evernote Premium for over 2 years and my only disappointment is your inferior print/formatting features. It is frustrating and unacceptable that we can't control any printing of our notes. I have over 2500 notes and use Evernote for everything. That minimizes the need for printing, but when I need to print something I hate that I have no control and end up with huge margins, broken images and more pages than I need. Maybe I have missed Evernote's response or roadmap, but there are thousands of posts and replies about this over the years so it seems like something that should be taken seriously.

    If you want to automate it a bit, and you have some Excel skills: Go to all notes in list view, select a note and then hit CTRL-A to select all the notes Hit CTRL-C to copy all the note information in the columns Open Excel Paste, match destination formatting Sort by title You now have all of the note list information in Excel and you can write a title compare calculation to quickly find the dups. Copy/paste the title from Excel to EN search bar if you want to fixFairly quick and painless process if you feel compelled to remove the dups, FWIW.

    yes ! It is a very nice suggestion. I think there're many people want evernote can use Latex, it is extremely useful for students and scientists. I hope this will come true in future.
