  1. Please increase tags functionality for iOS devices: 1) We need *simple* multi-tag search. 2) We need auto-populate of tag names. 3) We need the tag library to reflect our desktop organization (e.g. order, nesting, etc), just as with Notebooks. The iOS apps are horridly crippled without these functions in place. Without them, you have only a few options: 1) Do without multi-tag filtering... Do you have something tagged for a person AND as an agenda item (something to talk about next time you see that person)? Too bad, you can only pull u

  2. We're very excited to announce Evernote Web Clipper 6.9.1 for the Windows 10 Edge browser. It's based on the Web Clipper we provide for Chrome/Safari and Opera. How can I get it? The new Edge browser supporting Web Clipper is part of the Windows 10 Anniversary Update Microsoft began rolling out yesterday (8/2). After installing the update, visit this store page https://www.microsoft.com/store/apps/9nblggh4x0qwand click "Install" and then follow instructions. What's different? Capturing screenshots and PDF clipping from the Edge browser are not yet supported by Microsoft. We

  3. When we view the Notebook list, all the notebooks look the same. The default cover may seem classy but, they seem so identical. You have to seriously read the name of the notebook to tell which one. Now we are asking to have a notebook setting that we can customize our notebooks. We can choose a picture from our album to be the cover of the notebook, like what already been done by the iPad app "Paper" by 35. This move will make costumers more love Evernote, and I am looking forward to an update for that.

  4. I been using Evernote for quite some time. I enjoy all the great features it offers, i always use Evernote to write lab reports, take notes (of course) during class, and write essays just to name a few. However their is one feature missing which is in the math community. Able to input math equations such as Fractions, Radical, Integrals, Operators, Functions (sin over cos, sec. tan, inverse sin...) and Matrix. I would love to use this especially in physics when i have to write a lab report and need to enter formulas used. This will be the best upgrade for the math community: Calculus, Trigonom

  6. Don't know whether this would be helpful: http://www.techrepublic.com/article/pro-tip-how-to-speech-to-text-in-google-docs/ You'd have to play the recording into a computer's microphone, which would probably play havoc with accuracy; and you'd have to go through and edit out your parts anyway. But search around on the Web; there could well be something. I think a Web search is more likely to turn up possibilities than posing the question here. Come on somebody, prove me wrong and help Buzzbuzz out!

  8. Noticing that several of these were happening on Samsungs with Android 6, I did a quick test, and I don't seem to be having the problem. Hopefully the support tickets will get it fixed, but for the benefit of other users, I wonder if @Bryan Sullo or @Gauthier could indicate the circumstances under which the problem occurs.

  9. That is strange. It does sound like Evernote is saving a blurred version of the annotation to the PDF file. I'm afraid that's beyond me (which is not hard to get to; apparently they make you a guru around here when you pass 300 posts or something, not because you've discovered the meaning of life). Hopefully someone here will have a real idea.

  10. It's not in the Windows Store and there has been no update. They said it was updating on the 2nd. Where is it?

  11. I actually logged back into Evernote yesterday and the note reappeared! It was completely blank on Monday immediately after the update and but now everything is all there. Pretty sure this was just a glitch in the system.

  12. Have you tried a full Uninstall? then reinstall the program. I was one of the guys here on this thread that had this problem but now I don't. Hopefully the reinstall will help.

  13. Hi. Not a Touch user, wouldn't know where to look for 'automatic updates' in the Windows Store; best and quickest fix - download the latest version as @gustavgi suggested - or raise a support request.

  14. Those are separate softwares, and the desktop application is not on the Windows Store. You have to download it at Evernote.com

  16. I only have basic for now, and I could print to PDF and attach, or just run an older version of firefox portable with clipper installed. I would just prefer to not have to leave my browser every time I want to clip, but I do have a workaround, just thought I would mention the issues here to let devs know about it.

  17. My work routine relies heavily on storing successive versions of files I'm working on in the same note, and right now I can only do this on my Mac, not on my iPhone or iPad. When will we be able to attach files (other than photos) to an existing note in Evernote for iOS ? I can't imagine being alone in sorely needing this feature. Every major—and not so major—competitor to Evernote allows this. iOS now makes it trivially easy to implement. It would be a fantastic improvement that would require minimal effort. Please?

  19. I'm not seeing how it can hurt. There's also nothing to stop you from also adding a post in the discussion, however, if your only comment is "+1", please vote instead. It was set up by Evernote, and is recommended by employees. Note; There is not a direct relationship to the implementation schedule. It just gives Evernote an idea of the priority from a user perspective.

  20. Yipes, that is ugly. (And considering how ugly Evernote's PDF annotations are already, that's saying something.) Unfortunately, I can't reproduce the problem. I did a test annotation, and however I view the PDF (in the note, in Acrobat, in a browser, saving it and opening it in Acrobat), the annotation shows up just fine. So it seems like there's something going wrong on your system. How are you viewing the annotation? in the Evernote note, or in a PDF reader?

  21. Thanks...this was just what I was looking for in trying to get a script to put an link inside of a note on OSX. Thanks again!

  22. The work-around for this - until they create a perma-fix - is to create a 'note' template in your MacBook Evernote - or Evernote Online - and create sample sentences, each with varying font sizes. When you go to make a note in IOS version, simply copy a word from a sentence in the Font Size Template with the preferred font size - and paste it into a new note. Then, highlight that new word and begin typing. Your whole note should take on the size/ format of the font in the word you copied over from your template. 24. It's a bit of a pain in the butt, but that's likely the point. I don't want to see ads, especially not targeted ads, and they already limit bandwidth (that 60mb cap isn't exactly generous). The market sucks sometimes.

  25. I heavily use ipad pro and pen. As I share my notes with employees and bureau, encryption is very important in every other note for personal comments. Would be great to habe encryption on ipad AND encryption for handwritten and images! Also kind of "private section" not shared with note would be sufficient.

  26. I am suggesting that we consolidate this request to get the votes up… I am suggesting mine because it already has a number of votes replies… The post is here, https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/88379-feature-request-improved-tag-functionality-for-ios/ This request keeps popping up but I believe it is getting ignored because it doesn’t get a critical mass of attention at any one moment, I’d like to see if we can get everyone on board to bring this up the list and to Evernote’s attention. Thank you!

  27. Evernote mavens (Steve Dotto, for example) had convinced me that I did not need to structure my EN notes -- just use the EN search feature - you'll love it! Not if I can't home in on a specific statement when I need to - like from my phone. E.g.: I'm trying to contact Roku customer service and need my account number and serial number which I have stored in my EN "accounts" note (200 or so long entries). I search for "Roku" and find the "accounts" note but - no joy finding the specific account. The clumsy search function makes EN on android almost useless.

  28. It would be great if you could drag an image to each notebook and then that image would be the front cover of that notebook.

  29. + 1 billion for manual sort My current solution... Manual sort of Notebooks and notes and nesting Notebooks (even just a couple of levels) would make EN the go to for all my personal and professional projects rather than just some of them.

  30. Developers! Imagine your computer's desktop for a second. Imagine that ALL 30-40 icons on your desktop are the same, let's say a 40 brown squares. Hmm.. This is exactly how users perceive the notebook's view now. Impossible to find anything without going through them one-by-one, you just see 40 identical "brown" squares. Human mind recognises shapes / colours min. 100 times faster than written words. You look at 40 shapes and you instantly know that the one with a "house" is the "house" folder. However, reading through the 40 grey icons is insane. Icons have been implemented 20 years a
