  1. Hi, I just starting using Evernote and I'm trying to work out how to change the image saved for bookmarks. Currently it seems to be using random crops from random images on the page which is no help in reminding me what the page was. Is there any way to change the image selected or edit this? Thanks!

  2. On the Evernote Mobile App when you scan in a business card, there is an option to send a LinkedIn request. The new Scannable app is amazing and makes bulk scanning email cards almost magical. However, I can't find any way to send a LinkedIn request from the scanned card. It's doing everything else...even pulling the LinkedIn data when it finds a match. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  3. Thank you csihilling -- This lead me to http://discussion.ev...9921#entry59921 from EngBerg (Evernote Employee) This is actually intentional. We treat a "word" as any contiguous sequence of: * letters (as defined by Unicode) * numbers * the underscore character This allows you to use the underscore to make special "magic keywords" like "_foo" that you may want to search for again later. ----------------------------------------------------- I assume that means literally letters -- all the special characters I've tried are from unicode. I haven't tried any "non-english" letters -- hopef

  6. This sure looks modeled after our familiar app. With "Eversync" service and more at http://everhelper.me. Another one is Alternote: http://alternoteapp.com/ Lots of these apps popping up! nimbus note shares the same domain as everhelper. what's their physical address? i don't know. is it wise to encourage doctors to keep patient records in nimbus notes? they seem to think so, though it would be illegal (and terrible advice even if it weren't) in the us. i cannot stress enough that users really need to be cautious about how they treat their data -- in comparison to nn, evernote see

  7. If I understand correctly, your issue is with SAVING changes locally rather than SYNCING to the Evernote Cloud. I think this is very unusual, and may point to some problem/corruption unique to the Note that won't save. I'd suggest that you open the Note in question, select all of its contents, and paste into a NEW Note. You might also try pasting into another app (like MS Word), then copy/paste from the app into a NEW EN Note. Then see if you have any problems with making changes and saving the new Note. If this works, then just delete the OLD Note, and use the NEW Note going forward. If n

  8. [ Emphasis mine. ] People can't articulate it — so what? I don't think it's required that we be able to articulate it. As you mention yourself, a lot of people want it disabled. That should be enough. A lot of 'articulations' of preferences are mostly things our logical brain makes up anyway, we don't really ever fully know why we like certain things and not others. This does not invalidate the preferences in question. Why do you love one person and not another? You can try 'articulating' it but you won't get to the heart of the matter. Additionally, lots of people have articulated why,

  9. That sounds like a bug if the popup is persistent. Once that is cleared up, I don't imagine Work Chat will be in your way too much. I haven't needed to share anything since Work Chat was released, so honestly, I don't even notice that it is there. I have yet to see it interfere with my workflow (popups aside). A lot of people are complaining about WC and want it disabled, but none seem to be able to clearly articulate why they feel that way (other than saying "because I just do"). I'd be very interested to hear if/how Work Chat interferes with your flow (aside from popups, which are defin

  10. I find it remarkable that Evernote pays zero attention to feedback… Is there even a mechanism by which they pretend to solicit user feedback? As for myself, pretty much the second the Mac and iOS versions of OneNote get audio recordings I am out.

  11. Jackolicious, you're kidding, right? In this household we have two utterly different Evernote accounts, different usernames, different machines, and on both spotlight generally doesn't find Evernotes. Either we're exceptionally unlucky people, or this problem isn't rare at all. I'm still running 5.7.2 under OS 10.10.1 - frankly, I have no confidence that the frequent v6 maintenance releases are repairing more problems than they introduce. A sad state of affairs.
