Sub-Tags in EN are not truly hierarchical. They just serve the purpose of getting a better overview of your tags, they are simply informational. You can easily achieve what you want though: Click the first tag (Computer), hold down the Ctrl-Key and click your second tag (Hardware). That wil give you only notes with both tags. Wern

I just updated to the new version för Android tablets and the new text features and general layout got me seriously interested in Evernote for the first time. However, I really want to be able to change font and font size. Is this planned and is there a rough ETA? I already saw a forum post about bullet points list levels and indentation, but I'd like to take the opportunity to put in a request for that as well.

Are you guys trying to copy Google Keep? The new title font (also used throughout the new UI) is horrible, it doesn't proportionate the look of the app at all and is at odds with the sans serif fonts used in the noteself. Icons changes are also for the worse, the whole cute sketch icons are not as clean as the plain old ones and make the app look cartoonish. I'm a premium user and I really like the old look, please considering give user option to change back to the old UI and fonts. J.

Guys, this is getting annoying! You're constantly messing with my work flow. I even sought out and tried Google Keep in my frustration! I already find it's annoying to have to go through drop downs and submenus to get to the few options I personally use. With the "select personal tag" button you've just added another level that is so completely unnecessary, it's dumbfounding! I wish you would go in the other direction of allowing me to get my notes out faster without constant navigation. Suggestions: Let me get the add audio button in the top bar instead of the photos. I don't use photos! You could even do this dynamically based on usage.Do the same for tags. That needs to be faster. When you pop out the tag entry/selection menu, put a couple of buttons in a corner so that I can sort by frequently used or alpha, and remember last sort order. Most of the time I repeatedly hitting on a few subject areas and scrolling for a tag starting with 'm' is a pain! You now have space for this next to 'choose tags'. Just a down arrow with a-z, plus a down arrow with a clock icon would be great!Separate edit mode/view mode is clumsy in my view. How many users spend a lot of time using their phone do go through their notes? And when they do, they are more likely to be in a position to focus on not accidentally deleting stuff. At least allow an option to disable view mode. When entering text with Speech-to-Text tech, also keep an audio file. The technology makes errors which are easy to miss and often occlude the basic idea behind my note. But I would like to use it to help me get these ideas down. Nuance is coming out with a high quality engine that integrates with the android keyboard recognizer, so please integrate with that fairly sophisticated and flexible method (It allows you to switch to keyboard easily). Even though Google Keep is very primitive, they thought to do this.I think there is a serious problem with the UI design and user feedback at Evernote that will tank you when Google Keep really gets running. Consider these basic UI design principles: Listen to your users! Don't necessarily follow their implementation suggestions or you'll get a spaghetti UI, but understand what their suggestions are telling you about their needs. Design the simplest UI that satisfied the myriad suggestions you're aggregating. This is hard, but that's what it takes. Nobody does this better than Google, so study their stuff. Don't break existing flows to piss off your user base.Seems like you're doing all three of these poorly right now. I have 10 years of experience in UI and programming experience. Feel free to contact me.

Where are the database files stored on my local drive for EverNote? I'm running out of space on my local 256gb SSD by my iMac has a 2TB drive that has lots of space left.

Well. I apologize for getting that wrong, but due to your graciousness in pointing that out, I will now advise you to SEARCH THE FORUM YOURSELF.

Yep. If you are going to need a lot of notebooks, then Evernote is not for you. Evernote is organized better around tags. You can have 10,000 of those. http://www.princeton.edu/~cmayo/evernote-tag.html This is incorrect. They do sync for Free and Premium users. If you want them available offline, then you have to pay for Premium. Evernote is free on every platform.

The default mode (moderate) of Revo free uninstaller includes "scanning for leftover files, folders & registry items". And Wern's suggestion above was to use Revo. Personally, I would never recommend anyone doing an uninstall of any software without backing up first. Unless, of course they really want to permanently uninstall it & don't care about any existing data. It's one thing if you're doing it yourself. But I think it's best to err on the side of caution when dealing with other users, especially if you don't know their level of skill. IE, a generic "no you won't lose your data if you uninstall" is not the same as "no you won't lose your data if you use the Evernote uninstaller or don't have Revo delete the leftover files & folders". JMO.

Good Evening Alex, Thanks for giving Noteworthy a try. I'd be happy to help you solve some of the issues you're having. Which web host are you running it on? I've seen some issues with DreamHost and GoDaddy, and have a few fixes written that haven't been released yet (testing, testing).

This is an issue that Evernote is aware of, and is working to solve; see the Android 5 announcement topic here: http://discussion.evernote.com/topic/36484-evernote-for-android-v50-now-live-on-google-play/. Actually, I think that they've fixed it, but it may not have hit Google Play yet; I was able to get the latest version by downloading the APK at this link: http://s.evernote.com/androidpreview If that doesn't work, and you need to go back to a previous version, you can find them here: http://www.eapktop.com/tag/evernote. Note that doing so is pretty much unsupported by Evernote, but given that you don't have Evernote working at the moment...

Hi SPEDE, I won't go into too much detail, but basically the installer for 4.6.3 gets cached and that is what the Windows operating system uses to uninstall and upgrade you to 4.6.4 Unfortunately we don't have a way of forcing it to use the updated & fixed 4.6.4 installer. So we're a bit stuck for this. I'd like to emphasize this seems to occur with a subset of Windows 64bit users. Here's a post with workarounds. For many users, uninstalling from the control panel works well and is rather quick. http://discussion.evernote.com/topic/36401-windows-error-code-2732-workarounds/#entry197207

This latest update goes totally against the move of Android with jellybean towards a simple and consistent look for all the apps. For instance the new icons don't follow http://developer.android.com/design/style/iconography.html (icons should have a flat appearance) It looks like I reinstalled froyo again. Please make it an option to use a Holo like theme. (btw using the standard fonts will also fix all the issues with foreign languages in 5.0)

For the record. I was using Firefox (no proxy configured) and my internet connection was working fine. Evernote was finding the IE settings that did include a proxy and I was getting the connection failure message. So if you get this messsage check your IE settings (which may or may not be your default browser).

We don't provide ETA but I will write your request on my list. Stay tuned.
