  1. "A little unkind" - OK. I've been in charge for development for a long time - such basic functionality should be either on the list of ToDos from the start on (to implement user friendly i18ned SW) or even implicit thinking of developers itself 😉 Meantime I use Legacy - which uses system dates - and AutoHotKey to support key combinations that add dates and times in various formats as I need them. My notes forinstance routinely have valid Creation Dates to sort into chronological order. But this is crazy:

  2. I'm a visual person. I like seeing images to help me find my way through a bunch of files, and I like structure -- things to be visually organized. Evernote's true power is in the fact that it'll accept anything you throw at it (pain text, an attachment of any kind, a screen shot, a web clip, and audio file etc etc). And you can put all of this together into a single "note". It's not always the case, but let's say I buy a lawnmower this summer. In a single note I can store a scan of the receipt, the instruction manual, a photo of the serial number, the URL to the manufacturer's websi

  3. Hello, I am running 10.11.5 on my Macbook pro (intel processor and 2 years old). I have been a long time user of Evernote (6 years plus) and am on a paid plan. However, the Evernote website won't let me contact support because their site goes in a huge loop. I am VERY frustrated with Evernote lately. I cannot get Evernote to sync from my Macbook application over to any of the online web interfaces or any of the other devices. (I am on a plan that gives me unlimited devices). I have tried all the troubleshooting steps like quitting Evernote, restarting, making sure it isn't

  4. EN 10+ displays/inserts dates/times in USA format (i.e. mm/dd/yyyy) and AM/PM). Please use the locale of the user for these formats (e.g. dd/mm/yyyy and 24 hour hh:mm).

  5. I have tried emailing PDF handwritten-notes from my Remarkable 2 e-writing tablet, to Evernote, but they are not found when searching a word I have written in the note. I have made sure the word I search was clearly written and legible. It seems like Evernote is not doing any indexing on these emailed notes. I am strictly a MAC and IOS user. This is happening on my iphone and Mac. Is there a setting or something I need to do, for Evernote to index the emailed PDF note? This is a critical need for my daily workflow! Thanks, Jeff

  8. This is only an issue if you copy the image into the web version of EN. If you copy it into the desktop version it works as expected. In earlier version of V10 it didn't work correctly in the desktop app either. Some comsistency would be nice.

  10. Just started using V10 and now I can't drag a pdf from a Note to the body of an email on Mac Mail. It just shows up as a ? graphic. The only workaround I can see is to open the pdf from the Note and then Mail it from the pdf menu but this is hugely inconvenient when I'm trying to mail multiple pdf's. As a Business account I can't even get to the support b/c I keep getting an "Oops, we encountered an error" page even though I'm signed in.

  11. All within a single notebook: 1. Click on Tag 1 in left nav. Some notes show up in Notes pane, and Note 1A (first note in the Tag) is auto-selected. 2. Click on Note 1C still in Tag 1 3. Click on Tag 2 in left nav. Note 2A is auto-selected. 4. Click on Note 2D still in Tag 2 5. Click on Note 2F still in Tag 2 5. Hit the Back button 4 times. Expected: It will navigate backwards to Note 2D, Note 2A, Note 1C, and Note 1A, in that order. The Forward button should become enabled so I can navigate forward as well. Actual: After the first click it navigates

  12. I think we need a way to revoke sharing for notes en masse. If there's a person I no longer want to share with, or a notebook/tag I no longer want shared, or I want to revoke all "bearer" links (anyone with the link can view), etc... there should be a quick way of doing that. As is, I don't even know how I'd determine quickly what notes are shared, much less with whom, and then how to cancel those shares other than going through every note manually. This seems like an important security item. Does anyone agree? Is there a solution already that I'm just not aware of?

  13. I use to be able to drag and drop files (PDF, JPEG, PNG, etc.) into emails but now that function has disappeared with the new update. This is really inconvenient and I'm hoping that someone has a quick fix for this, or if Evernote plans to put this super useful function back. Is anyone else having this problem??

  14. I have lots of lists using the old checkbox feature and I especially like that the text does not change to strike-through after checking the checkbox. After upgrading to v10.4.4, Evernote for Windows keeps automatically switching my check box lists to checklists and changes all text to strike-through for checked items. This happens anytime I press enter anywhere in any of the items on any line. It is impossible to add a new line anywhere - in the middle, at the end, ANYWHERE, without the list getting switched to a checklist. PLEASE allow us to disable this new "feature". I can understand

  15. This issue got addressed in October, thats 6 months ago. Can Evernote give a statement why this is taking so long? As i see this, it is a large issue that should be placed high on the "fix list". EN used to be "I can do everything", now it is just a note taking app. I have used EN for years, and this feels much like going back to landline phones. Today i have my Smartphone with me everywhere i go, and it is quick to answer a call. This EN update feels like going back to the landline days, where i had to physically walk over to the phone and the phone wasn't available everywhere.

  18. I recently upgraded to Evernote 10 for Mac and noticed today that the Menu Bar Helper has changed quite significantly and also has a possible bug: I used to frequently use the helper to temporarily store screen grabs or portions of the screen or windows for use in e-mails etc. without actually converting them to notes almost like a clipboard. The new version creates the notes automatically meaning I will need to go to Evernote to drag them back to e-mails. This also means that each grab is converted to a single note where I would often make a note with multiple grabs. Would it be possi

  19. also noted that the menu bar icon disappears whenever I close Evernote. not able to clip without opening Evernote - Boo. I want a way to keep the Evernote Helper active, even when Evernote is closed. I've searched, can't find any of the following preferences anymore (clipped from my other computer that still has 7.14): also all of these preferences from 7.14: are not findable in 10.5.7 the only thing under preferences in 10.5.7 is a toggle whether or not to save data at LogOut.

  21. A Kanban view for Evernote would be a game changer and would be lightweight and simple to integrate, Kanbanote does it so elegantly but alas it is a paid service. Evernote team, please consider integrating a similar solution! Kanbanote is great and easy to set up - it uses both tags and notebooks to create Kanban lists so it integrates seamlessly with the GTD framework.

  22. Too small a customer base for Evernote to care. And Remarkable doesn’t seem to think their product needs to sync with 3rd party apps, which is a mistake.
