I love Evernote, but it's preventing me from putting in sensitive content. For example, I can't keep a personal journal notebook, because other people (i.e. girlfriend, family members, etc.) could one day be looking at those notes, especially since they know that I use Evernote often for many purposes. Evernote already has the ability to encrypt single notes. This is useful for things like storing passwords or other temporary sensitive content. But it's not practical to encrypt many notes one by one. I wish I could password-protect a whole notebook. This way, I can do a lot more with Evernote. If I can encrypt single notes, then why can't Evernote just allow me to encrypt entire notebooks? If reason behind this is because Evernote thinks one could lose a lot of data if a notebook password is forgotten, then perhaps Evernote can help recover the passwords through email. In the meantime, I'm stuck with using other apps (i.e. Pages, Day One, etc) to password-protect my content. Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Further to above, I fixed this by uninstalling and reinstalling Evernote on my phone. Presume it's a new version ? Anyway all ok now. 😀

I used and enjoyed the Moleskine Evernote Edition stationary as well. Well designed, high quality, good looking in daily use until the last page. However, there were some things around the importing I never got straight. For example, the sequence of pages was randomly (?) altered when importing more than 1 page into a note. The private section at the bottom of the page sometimes was shown, sometimes not etc. To me it seemed everything was build around the concept to have each and any „note“ always just on one page. Am I alone on this experience ? And yes, using the points coming with the notebooks was no simple task. With help from EN Support, I let my abo expire in iTunes, used my points, and will switch back to the paid model after using them up. I could have done without as well, just buying the plain notebook.

Hi, The Evernote app caches data based on your app usage - recently viewed notes, note snippets and thumbnails of images in your notes that were recently displayed in note lists, offline notebooks, reminder note content, shortcut note content. In order to reclaim some of that space, you can try the following - results will vary based on your app usage: Settings > Premium > Offline Notebooks - reduce the notebooks that are downloaded offlineSettings > Support > Clear Cache - this will reset your cache, but will not delete offline notebook content, reminder note content, or shortcut note contentSettings > Camera > Image size - reducing image size will reduce note size (if you're frequently accessing notes with large images, your cache will grow faster)Settings > Audio > Low size - reducing the audio quality will reduce note size (for the same length recording) Remove large notes from your shortcutsRemove reminders from large notesThere is currently no setting to limit the storage space the app consumes, but we have internal limits on the thumbnail cache. The rest of based on app usage behavior. I hope this helps. Cheers, Chuck
