  2. Check connectivity. Try on your WiFi - working ? Disable WiFi on your phone, try with mobile data (needs to be enabled for EN) - working ? Go to a place with free WiFi access (Mall, library, public buildings) - working ? If it works on some networks, but fails on others, it is likely a network issue. Some more hints: Clear out the devices cache. Make sure everything is updated (EN needs Android 9 /iOS 13 as minimum). Make a forced restart of the device. Erase Network settings (only as last resort, and when you know how to rebuild them).
  3. 10.56.8 doesn't work on Win7 anymore. It logged out, then autoupdates to 10.65.2 despite to .json tweak, but 10.65.2 won't start. I roll back to 10.56.8 again but an error 'client not supported' appears while trying to login.
  4. That was an answer when the number of notes was "several". Just so we're on the same page here, what's your Device / OS and Evernote version? If you're having issues, your local data may be corrupted and a clean reinstall may be indicated. If you recently updated from Legacy your local data may still be being created (it takes days for large files) so patience may be all that is needed...
  5. They've been constantly launching new features. There is no way to disable this. I would rather them continue making Evernote better personally.
  6. Not sure - what you see are the highest profile hits. Hit return on the search - without selecting one of the listed items - and you'll get a results list of all the notes with your keywords or tags.
  7. This is the new notification area to notify you of new features launched. As far as I know there is no way to turn it off.
  8. This is on desktop and perhaps not the same thing, but I'm now seeing this notification bell near the top of my screen. That's prime real estate and I expect to see notifications about my notes, such as reminders, not notifications or marketing messages EN wants to send me about the platform. Given EN's frantic pace of bugariffic releases--here's something new! oh wait, we broke something else, here's another version to fix that!-- I'm concerned that corner is turning into EN marketing central.
  9. Doesn't appear Chrome saves the login, or maybe it did but I cleared the cache not too long ago. I still have an old Macbook with the same company. Going to see if the IT helpdesk can help me log into that old Macbook without connecting to the internet. (I forgot the password after 4 years) If I can get just the Username, I should be able to figure out the password to my Evernote account. I'll post my results.
  10. This statement is very general. You can post here about what feature in Evernote that's embedding your definition of usability and maybe there's a workaround. There's a setting now to hide the issue that caused this thread.
  11. I'm using a Samsung s22 ultra, have tried deleting cache, data, uninstalling and reinstalling. Still the same issue. Have logged a help ticket too but not holding my breath on getting a response - have heard that since new owners the support is awful
  12. @Federico Simionato has an update on X. I think this looks nice, especially if it'll make the app faster. I'm loving the notes, calendar, tasks etc at the bottom of the screen. The Android app has gotten better but is still far too heavy and I like what they are doing to make things more lightweight.
  13. Today
  14. I have the same problem. Uninstalled Evernote, reinstalled it and when logging in I get the error message (No internet connection. Try again later). But my internet connection is excellent. Would like to use Evernote on my mobile phone again. The annual subscription price is high, so there should be no such problems!
  15. So then if I have text selected and I press '/', you suggest to not replace the text with the '/' character just yet, but wait to see what the user will do with the slash commands first? If I press Esc to dismiss the commands then we replace the selected text with the '/' character, but if I type 'c' (because I'm going to type 'cod' to get the 'code block' command filtered, I'm not going to use the mouse to click on it) then... what happens with the 'c' character as far as showing in the text? Nothing because it's still in the menu of slash commands and we haven't determined yet if I'm going to do a command or not?
  16. It's a very minor issue in the grand scheme of things but best practice is to allow the small number of users who know/care to individually opt in to the latest updates by checking for updates. This also allows support reps dealing with customers to more easily ask them to update to solve a bug they may be experiencing. The remaining 99+% of users can slowly get the rollout over the course of a week as per usual. Exactly.
  17. I'm having the same issue. I have really large notebooks and wondering if this might be causing the problem, eg 80,000 notes. (Been using since 2008)
  18. Once one of the entries of the drop-down slash menu is selected, it is a command.
  19. Sure, once a new update comes in, I'll take a screen shot.
  20. We can’t answer your question, being other users. You can contact EN here - which is a mixed blessing these days, given the incredibly weak support they offer since some time. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
  21. Ah I figured out that the search was being conducted within a notebook. Now I can see a small list of results (about 5-10) changing without pressing enter. Legacy provides a list of all search results of every note meeting the search term continuously (as if you press entered in v10). Am I out of luck here and feedback@evernote.com is my only option?
  22. I'm not sure what Ernst meant by "No problem here with Evernote 10.81.4 on macOS" -- MacOS does the same thing: when I select text and press '/', the text is replaced with a '/' key and then the slash commands popup up. I think they *could* intercept the slash and only popup the slash commands when you have selected text, but how would they know you wanted to encapsulate the text with a code block and you actually did not want to replace the text with a slash? The way the slash command is handled in this case in Evernote is the same way that both (for example) UpNote and Obsidian handle the slash command.
  23. But the text is somewhere, otherwise we couldn’t get it back with CTRL-Z. So Evernote, knowing that / is a command (if one of the options from the menu are taken) could easily restore the text and put it into the right place. I think they simply didn’t think about it. It is not such a big deal, I agree, but you cannot defend every design problem with “it’s not Evernotes fault”. They need to think about a coherent UI. I give you another example: when assigning tags and typing a few characters from a tag, once enough has been typed that the tag is now unique, you can simply press return to get that tag. This is good and convenient and provides for rapid tag assignment. But when you want to move the note into another notebook, and use the shortcut to pop up the possible notebooks, and start to type a notebook name, even if you have typed enough to uniquely identify the notebook, you cannot simply press return, because nothing happens then. You’ve got to go to the single entry left (using the keyboard or the mouse) to select it, and *then* you can press return. So assigning a notebook is different from assigning a tag. Now be my guest to explain, why this is a good UI design. With these inconsistencies it is impossible to develop habits that let you do rapid entries. And productivity is about those habits. YMMV.
  24. On the iPhone, when I open the hamburger menu, tap "Tags," and then select a specific tag, I see a list of notes associated with that tag. However, the displayed notes may not accurately reflect the current tags; it might show notes that were tagged previously but exclude notes that were tagged more recently. This issue doesn't seem to be related to synchronization. For example, if a tag is removed from a note, the list correctly shows the note without the tag "badge" (though it shouldn't show the note at all). Additionally, the count number displayed next to the tag name appears accurate. For instance, a tag labeled “Standup (3)” might only display one note when selected, with two notes missing. I do not experience this problem with Evernote for Mac or Evernote on the web. This situation is particularly frustrating as I rely on tags to locate notes for specific purposes, such as using a "Standup" tag for items to discuss during our daily stand-up meetings. Not being able to find notes I know were tagged "Standup" is inconvenient. I have reported this issue to Evernote support and will follow up here if I receive any helpful recommendations from them. Meanwhile, I'm curious if anyone in the community has encountered this issue and found a workaround. -Alex
  25. If you share a note online, or export to html, or send it as a mail: checkboxes are working, but checklists are converted to bulletpoints.
  26. We are not talking about typing a command. I don't think Windows can possibly know that / is a command in EN. If you select text and press any of the "autoformatting" combinations in EN they will delete the text. The same happens if you highlight text to make it into a link. Ctrl+k or the insert menu or the tool bar icon adds the text to the "text" section of the link menu. Typing / deletes the text.
  27. But that means that MAC and PC behave differently. That's not good either. I thought the whole Electron business is about avoiding that.
