  2. There is nothing against 3-digit version counters ...
  3. The current version is 10.86. If Evernote continues this pace of releasing updates every week then in about 4 months we will arrive at Evernote 11. I wonder if there will be any big news on the way! 🤔
  4. @s2sailor at least the menu bar helper with the screen clipper works on all MacOS versions - opposite to Win11.
  5. I can’t answer that question but some updates have an annoying habit of changing my sort preference back to relevance. If I do a search and it doesn’t find what I think it does, the first thing I now check is to see if this setting has changed.
  6. I don’t use any Goggle services that I can avoid. They could make every Gmail clip turn upside down, and I wouldn’t notice. If I want an email in my EN account, I forward it.
  7. No issues that I'm aware of here (Windows and Chrome) but it's always good to make sure they're aware of any glitches...

  9. Clipping Gmails is broken (again). You should try not to speak so confidently when maybe you don't have all the facts. I have verified this bug on sites that do not use PHP. Perhaps it's again a Gmail-related issue as I tested and verified it there. Anyone who uses Gmail and Chrome perhaps can replicate my results: Open a PDF from an email Click the 3-dots menu in the top-right, then choose to open in a new window Click the elephant logo to the right of the pdf to clip the file (see screenshot below) Go to Evernote and see that the PDF shows as a preview (single page or multi-page depending on your settings) within the note, but the filename of the note is mangled and double-clicking on the PDF results in an error similar to below: Note that renaming the file within Evernote (including attempting to add a .PDF file extension) does not fix the problem. Saving the file to the file system and then renaming it allows it to be opened by a PDF viewer (e.g. Preview on macOS). However, re-uploading the renamed file to the same note does not solve the issue. The renamed file seems to inherit the original mangled filename and again refuses to open directly from Evernote. In order to save this renamed file to Evernote in a way that preserves the file name and extension I was forced to create a brand new note. Of course, this defeats the time-saving purpose of using the web clipper to save a PDF file in the first place. NB: I have sent this information to support. I separately sent the Gmail web clipper issue to support almost three weeks ago, and no human has responded to that report as of yet.
  10. Good idea, Paul. I've had previous tickets about this issue but they've never resolved any of them even after I've jumped through hoops sending them logs, deleting and reinstalling Evernote, clearing cache, and a few other annoying processes, but it's worth trying to harass them and add my name to the list of users who are having the same issue. Good luck to us all! Guy
  11. No, and you will not lose them from your account. If you downgrade to free, you will still be able to access them to read and edit but not add more if you have more than 50 notes in your account and more than one notebook.
  12. I've been having issues with the web clipper recently as well. Suggest you open a support ticket as the more web clipper-related tickets they receive the more likely they are to prioritize investigating and fixing bugs.
  13. Not so sure about that. This is a longstanding bug affecting Google Pixel phones as well.
  14. All my notes in Evernote were saved and downloaded as PDF. If I don't upgrade, will I lose the PDFs that are currently on my Windows hard drive?
  15. Is there perhaps a de-duplication script that can run between the web and desktop apps? Because if not, I'm afraid I don't see how looking at the web app will be useful. I already confirmed the 2 corrupted desktop notes are also broken in the web app, which seems to be a commonly recommended troubleshooting step. Checking through my remaining 8k notes one by one is not going to happen, either on desktop or on the web. At this point, I think it's simply a case of hoping that additional issues don't pop up and finding workarounds for them if they do. At least if someone finds this thread when searching for a solution to their own problems with missing images, it might give them some ideas about where to go next. Thanks again.
  16. To confirm exactly what is in your account, use the web app. You may be able to compare notes there with those in your desktop app to see which may have problems. Good luck.
  17. Syncing hasn't stopped, at least not most of it. Heck, this might not be a sync issue at all, who knows. I added a note with an image late yesterday and it synced fine. So far I've discovered 2 notes affected by the same problem but there's no way to be sure they are the earliest/latest/only instances. Both appeared fine when I first added the images. It was only upon returning to them later that I saw the previously intact images had been replaced with spinning circles. If a clean reinstall is the recommended fix, then I'll do that once I have time. If I continue to encounter corrupt notes post-install, I will just need to hope they either weren't as important as I thought they were or that I can remember where else the missing bits might be available so I can recreate them.
  18. There were several versions floating around and personally I haven't seen the final one that was shown in the video, but I think what they have settled on will work for me. What they didn't mention is that the iPad home screen is back to being the same as desktop, at least for me, so the changes they are showing appear to be only for the phone.
  19. Indeed. I wonder who their test group was, considering that I haven't seen anybody here enjoy the new screen that much.
  20. This new video explains how they came to design the new screen and the user research they did.
  21. OK. This works. WIN + SHIFT + S ALT + CTRL + V Clips and selection and puts the clip into a new note without even opening Evernote.
  22. I mean the new Home/Welcome screen. Having the Widgets as start screen + the customisable create buttons was much more useful and intuitive. Can't understand why they though the new screen has any useful use case...
  23. There are a few different complaints in this thread. Which in particular are you referring to?
  24. > I made the Windows directory that captures screen clips into an import folder. So, for me, Win+Shift+S creates a new note containing the clipped areas. I assume that after Win Shift S, that one must save the clip into that directory? > Alt+Ctrl+N is the global command for 'new note' That only works with Evernote in the frergound, for me, anyhow.
