  2. Looks like Evernote doesn't listen to its subscribers, because now in the note it doesn't even document the location of the creation of the note. I used to always like that it gave that information!!! Very disappointed that they got rid of this information!!!
  3. Today
  4. Me? Fortunately not. I'm pretty tame -- I'd guess I average about one beer a week, certainly no more than 2, plus the occasional glass of wine. I do try to make it a good beer., though
  5. Thanks to both #pacman and DTLow. The answer is that Evernote info is secure on the Google servers via one of the encryption options (I'm guessing with customer-supplied encryption keys, most likely). So I now have confidence to upgrade from the Basic to Premium subscription. Thanks!
  6. Hi, I have read this information. So the ECT-Training 2019 course is no longer required or used for anything? I though it was used for becoming an Evernote Community Leader? I guess from what I read above, it seems this course exists but no longer means anything, Ok. From what has been written the only real program that seems to exist now is the Evernote Certified Consultant and I must be considered for this program. What other courses do I have access to as a Community Member? Thanks for the information.

  8. If you want to search the contents the PDFs have to be in EN, otherwise just as well to have them in the cloud linked within an EN note. If you want the PDFs searchable and are worried about storage, OCR the PDFs yourself and put them in a Local notebook. Disadvantage here is no access on a mobile device. If you need that access you should probably sign up for a paid subscription.
  9. Not native to EN. You can roll your own approximation by copying the note list (have created and size in the list)and pasting the results into Excel. Some date arithmetic and pivot table later you should have an answer. But nothing simple in EN.
  10. You can do this yourself by going to help and selecting Go to my account page.
  11. You can encrypt an individual note by selecting the text and right click to encrypt. But this is on a note by note basis and has issues on top of it that Evernote has not fixed. The primary one is that if you have ANY markup like a bullet in the text you want to encrypt, you cannot encrypt the text. It's a bug that Evernote has known about for a couple of years and it has not been fixed. Maybe their new editor this year will address it, but that doesn't solve the primary issue you mentioned. I believe encrypting notes is not part of Evernote's strategy. Encryption has been a request for several years. I believe they want to leave open the option to read and monetize the content or maybe they are doing that now. So encryption on the server would defeat that. There is an app called Standard Notes that does encrypt notes for example. But competitors that encrypt on the server are few.
  12. @moab90245 If you have any Local notebooks back them up. Move your DB to the desktop as a backup. After everything has been removed per the above before you sign in go to the Options tab and set the DB location there. This will download and create a new DB in the location you specified. Then import any local notebooks. When comfortable delete the backup. This is from memory of how it once worked. Not sure if anything has changed.
  13. I forward a copy to EN of the sent mail. A bit of a pain but keeps the header information. I have a couple PhraseExpress hotkeys to clean up the forwarded email and in some cases add notebook and tags. FWIW.
  14. How about we push the rest of the note back to where it used to be at the left margin. Then the table would be automatically indented. Same result and we pick up some real estate.
  15. Same experience. To me the Windows app has more bells and whistles within itself and it is easier to get done what I need to get done in my use case.
  16. If you do want to delete the notes you could tag them with something like !Del.YYYY.MM. Then a periodic tag:!del.* sorted by tag should yield a list of notes to delete by month.
  17. Works like it does on other IOS apps, press - release - press select.
  18. This would be super useful when cooking, I hate it that every time I look at my phone, it’s locked again. And I don’t want to change the auto-lock time for my entire phone, just for evernote.
  19. I would love to be able to copy a text style and paste a text style as you can do in google and keynote etc. alt + command + C for example and alt + command + v. It's great to be able to paste text in with the same style but to not be able to copy and paste text style in a doc without copying the text is a real bummer. integrating this shortcut would save us so much time! thank you!

  21. Hi. Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but I'm still trying to understand how you have an @Evernote.<anything> address. Do others use this address to contact you? Regardless, it seems that you need to change the email address on your account, which can only be done via Support. You could try using the 'guest' login on that page, or contact https://twitter.com/evernotehelps
  22. Patch notes for the latest version of the Windows client (6.19.2.8555 ) mention a fix for the jumping cursor in shared workbooks. I can confirm that with this version I no longer experience the jumping cursor. Instead, the cursor now just disappears. It is as though while typing a note, the application loses focus and stops taking input until clicking inside of the text area. I struggle to consider this an improvement.🤨
  23. Another option will depend on what your email client is. Outlook has a plug in that preserves the header. There is also a plug in for Gmail, that I haven't used, but maybe it saves the header as well.
  24. Is this Windows? Mac? Web? I think I've dheard reports of this on the Windows client. See
  25. @gazumped I still know my email address and old password, but it is reseted and I can not log in. When Im trying to login I see this (see screenshot) and reseted password they sent to my wrong email evernote@evernote.com I have email only evernote@evernote.io
  26. Hi. Not my first rodeo - try the 'as a guest' option on the Support page, or Twitter. If you can get to a ticket number, we can flag up your query for a member of staff to look at. Whilst we other users can offer suggestions for the best course of action, we just don't have the access to help directly in this case. ...and @PinkElephant was probably referring to this sort of thing- https://discussion.evernote.com/announcement/66-access-issues-unable-to-login-to-your-evernote-account/ https://discussion.evernote.com/announcement/67-billingpaymentsubscriptionadministrative-issues/
