  2. Thank you Gaz for your answer. Properly uninstalling with revo did the job, I'm now logged in and fully sync'ed. The login screen is night and day with the one I had until then though, all black and grreen, weird. Case closed, thank you so much
  3. That's a valid suggestion! It would definitely enhance the user experience in Sketch mode. You might consider reaching out to the developers or posting this idea in their feedback forum to see if they can implement it in future updates.
  4. I don't know if this is a mistake or maybe takes effect later but I have a personal subscription and can still encrypt notes
  5. I just letting you know the situation and giving you a better way to respond than complaining to fellow users. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/23565231682323-Note-and-notebook-limits-in-Evernote-Free-December-2023 There is no insider information. The information is there if you search. If you can't find answers to specific questions then ask away ... politely.
  6. One-way communication eh? How's that working out for users? Everyone getting what's on their wish list? Anyone getting major problems resolved? Maybe some of you 'insiders' can share some light on what exactly this comment from their boilerplate email is supposed to mean (specifically how the part "you will maintain access to all of your notes and notebook" relates to the limits of a free account)? "Your subscription won't change until your current billing cycle ends. Once your subscription runs out, your subscription will be canceled and your account will automatically revert to Evernote Free. None of your data will be lost, and you will maintain access to all of your notes and notebooks."
  7. Today
  8. Seems that Evernote subscription plans just changed. AI features (AI Edit and AI Search) and also In-note encryption are now only included in "Professional" and "Teams" 😮 https://evernote.com/compare-plans
  9. I doubt individual demands carry much weight and you have engaged enough here on the forums to know that it is unlikely Evernote will see this. Best to send your comments to feedback@evernote.com if you want to be heard, but don't expect a response. This communication channel is one way only.
  10. Why should I pay for subscription for a broken app without any available support? support ticket I just created after getting annual subscription email. I don't understand how a business can operate this way. "I have submitted several support tickets for very significant items such as missing attachments ('Untitled Attachments') and failed ENEX exports that have either not been answered at all or not addressed the problem. And on top of that there are plentiful other problems with V10 that you seem to be completely ignoring. So why should I pay an increased annual subscription price to a company that offers their clients service like that? I hereby announce that any future charges by Evernote or Bending Spoons to my credit card are unauthorised. In order to retain me as a client I require rectification of the two main issues I have described above in order to regain my trust of your app with my valuable data."
  11. Not sure what that user's issue is with the web clipper, but my favorite web clipper feature broke about three weeks ago, and while I notified support they still haven't responded more than 17 days later... It's clearly not getting as much attention as it used to, which is fine when everything's working, but annoying when something breaks and it takes a long time to fix.
  12. Fixing the line spacing, or fixing the desire for a stable channel of releases for professional use of a stable PKM Evernote not surprising us many, many times with showstoppers of big consequence in our workflows? Both/either is appreciated! ♥️ I ask this because the thread is about line spacing, the posts above yours about stability/predictability/reliability.
  13. The difference is there's a software design convention that Evernote violates, and it just so happens to benefit you. Congratulations, I guess, but that's not a great reason to keep doing it, is it? Also, they are probably violating the convention accidentally, because of the way the desktop app is developed (i.e. with Electron*). If they used native operating system APIs, the "highlight search term" feature would happen by default as it's a built-in function in Windows and Mac. Which is why it worked that way in Evernote legacy and why it works that way in just about every other application... *Note: to be clear, there's no reason it can't work that way in Electron apps, I'm looking at two Electron apps right now which do it. It just so happens that the developers have to be thoughtful about implementing the feature as it doesn't happen by default, unlike with native apps.
  14. EN 10.86.2 added an extra Evernote calendar - but what is it used for? Or is it a bug?
  15. On the web the only export works note by note. The only alternative to a desktop client is the GitHub project already mentioned. It can be installed on any device, even on computers not able to run a desktop client. You can install (if you know how) in a Docker on a server and run automated backups.
  16. Good luck to you. Just to correct a statement: The Web Clipper not long ago got a nice multiple selection tool that allows to clip only the sections from a site you need. Beside this the Web Clipper doesn’t get much attention in the forum. It seems most users are happy with it as it is.
  17. This is the Android forum. You can’t <ctrl - F> on mobile … Searching FOR a note is not the same as searching IN a note. For me in more than 9 out of 10 searches it is sufficient to find the right note. And when I open a note, I don’t need a search dialogue getting in my way. When I need the in-note search, and call it up, it will already be populated with the search-for-note string. Nothing lost here.
  18. Can you not install a Desktop client somewhere? That would be the easiest way. There are other 3rd party products (some free, some not) that can also export them. Here is a free one that I see mentioned quite often that several people on the forums use: https://pypi.org/project/evernote-backup/ -- but it's pretty technically involved. You have to install this on your local computer and run some commands and it will login to Evernote's servers using your user ID and password and it will download your Evernote data to your machine into ENEX format.
  19. I think I may have found what you saw, but you have to open the note and then ctrl-f to bring up that dialogue. It should do that immediately upon opening the note - what else is there to do? Why have to do the ctrl-F again?
  20. I use the web version. So, there is no way to export my notes out of Evernote?
  21. I am on 10.85.4. and it doesn't have the box you show in your reply. Is there something you have to do to turn it on?
  22. I was hoping with all the updates this problem would disappear. The ability to group and view tagged notes on the fly via the mobile app is very important but this issue makes that impossible. The link below shows my problem using the PC to create/edit tags and the Android mobile version to utilise those chages on the go. https://www.evernote.com/shard/s2/sh/cb3ab017-d1fb-7891-7851-2db9fc428694/Nx8q6DgiB8iskusciOVPOj-E1-qQT3FYjDRr8j2MDYnRhZkUuNCQ8lL5IQ Any sugestions?
  23. The new huge extra bottom padding in notes window seems also affect image annotation tool, and messes up how it works. 😒
  24. I am just writing to say farewell to all those I have interacted with here over the last 8 years. I just found out my Evernote Personal will be renewing in May for $114 a year, after going from $45 to $64 last year. That's a 253% increase in 2 years, 78% increase this year. The trend is scary, I can't afford the product any more. Plus I don't feel like I have been on the same page as Evernote for awhile - new features are not very interesting to me, yet Web Clipper which I used a lot has been ignored for quite some time. I have unfortunately gotten very used to web clipping manually, which I will continue to do. It's a good move for Evernote - with a 78% increase in subscription this year, they could lose 40% of their users at this level and still grow revenue. So I respect that they have to do what they think they have to do to stay in business. I have exported everything, 25000 notes, into Apple Notes. The Evernote_backup tool worked great for me. Farewell, and good luck with your endeavors. And thank you to those who answered my questions over the years.
  25. Glad it was helpful. Just as a reminder to all who are missing the former functionality in the Windows app: this was not Evernote's doing; Microsoft apparently decided that in Windows 11 the system alone should be allowed to do screen grabs; or at least that Evernote should not be allowed to do so.
