  1. Past hour
  2. Has it really been six years since this post was created? Markdown should not be that difficult to implement. If little apps like Bear app(mac) can support it, Evernote with much more revenue, can certainly pull it off. Why the delay?
  3. Today
  4. No longer experimental. It's officially released in 10.86. They added scratch pad to the new home screen, added shortcuts to the bottom bar (replaced with notebooks, notebooks are accessed from the notes screen) and widgets are still in the side menu from the experimental versions. You can see an explanation on their YouTube channel.
  5. Until I see you all happy with a version, I am NOT UPDATING. Still on Android v10.78.0. Besides App flashing upon opening, all appears well. And, I appreciate your Posting the particular v still present w/🪲s. Thank you.
  6. Thank you for mentioning this! I have signed out of Evernote, signed bakc in, re-started computer, but uninstalling and re-installing worked.
  7. I now have the new mobile screen and ... I surprisingly like it. Clipboard is back and easy access to shortcuts has been added. Those were my main complaints earlier. Notes, Shortcuts, Tasks, and Calendar are all one click away, which I'm fine with. Interestingly, files load much quicker than on the desktop app which I don't understand.
  8. May be part of a roll-out - I just updated to the latest new release but my Tasks page is not a full page yet - maybe AI editing hasn't been released to everyone either. We're all users here, so all we have is speculation - all you can do is use a work-around for the time being and remind Support from time to time that you're waiting for a response.
  9. ctrl-cmd-N brings up the EN helper from the toolbar, as a global shortcut.
  10. Yesterday
  11. Well, I tried it and did another thing too: I had installed the app on new laptop where no Evernote was detected. And still the same thing - Unworking AI Edit for my account, but for others it works fine.
  12. Sounds like you may be experiencing the new experimental(?) "home screen." You can get at your real one by finding widgets on the hamburger menu, I think. Personally, I don't mind a cheery hello anywhere I can get it. But that feature does seem to wind a lot of people up.
  13. Evernote always remembers the most recent window size and position for me.... except when it updates to a new version, and then it often plops itself in the middle of the screen at a smaller size. So I'm guessing you're seeing the result of an update.
  14. how about for Mac Desktop? any key combination equivalent to the old "control + command + C" screenshot shortcut, or a way around the multiple steps described above? Thanks
  15. This is very useful information, as my subscription is about to renew and I need to decide between continuing Professional or dropping to Personal. I'm feeling more Personal all the time.
  16. @Paul A. I'm using Windows 10 and Evernote Desktop Version 10.85.4. I followed your steps here and when trying to open the pdf it shows a message asking to select an application to open the file. I selected the PDF reader I use and then it opened normally.
  17. There is nothing against 3-digit version counters ...
  18. The current version is 10.86. If Evernote continues this pace of releasing updates every week then in about 4 months we will arrive at Evernote 11. I wonder if there will be any big news on the way! 🤔
  19. @s2sailor at least the menu bar helper with the screen clipper works on all MacOS versions - opposite to Win11.
  20. I can’t answer that question but some updates have an annoying habit of changing my sort preference back to relevance. If I do a search and it doesn’t find what I think it should, the first thing I now check is to see if this setting has changed.
  21. I don’t use any Goggle services that I can avoid. They could make every Gmail clip turn upside down, and I wouldn’t notice. If I want an email in my EN account, I forward it.
  22. No issues that I'm aware of here (Windows and Chrome) but it's always good to make sure they're aware of any glitches...
  23. Clipping Gmails is broken (again). You should try not to speak so confidently when maybe you don't have all the facts. I have verified this bug on sites that do not use PHP. Perhaps it's again a Gmail-related issue as I tested and verified it there. Anyone who uses Gmail and Chrome perhaps can replicate my results: Open a PDF from an email Click the 3-dots menu in the top-right, then choose to open in a new window Click the elephant logo to the right of the pdf to clip the file (see screenshot below) Go to Evernote and see that the PDF shows as a preview (single page or multi-page depending on your settings) within the note, but the filename of the note is mangled and double-clicking on the PDF results in an error similar to below: Note that renaming the file within Evernote (including attempting to add a .PDF file extension) does not fix the problem. Saving the file to the file system and then renaming it allows it to be opened by a PDF viewer (e.g. Preview on macOS). However, re-uploading the renamed file to the same note does not solve the issue. The renamed file seems to inherit the original mangled filename and again refuses to open directly from Evernote. In order to save this renamed file to Evernote in a way that preserves the file name and extension I was forced to create a brand new note. Of course, this defeats the time-saving purpose of using the web clipper to save a PDF file in the first place. NB: I have sent this information to support. I separately sent the Gmail web clipper issue to support almost three weeks ago, and no human has responded to that report as of yet.
  24. Good idea, Paul. I've had previous tickets about this issue but they've never resolved any of them even after I've jumped through hoops sending them logs, deleting and reinstalling Evernote, clearing cache, and a few other annoying processes, but it's worth trying to harass them and add my name to the list of users who are having the same issue. Good luck to us all! Guy
