  3. Update: I'm on a Win10 maschine now - and it works fine. In the afternoon I'll re-check it on Win11 (on which I encountered the fail)
  4. BTW, the issue seems to pop up if one un-collapses a section, reads the stuff and collapses it again. Could someone confirm this one, too?
  5. Given that this thread is 2 years old I doubt the same problems still exist. Please give us full details of your device / OS / Evernote version and what you're experiencing, and let's start over...
  6. I agree with @gazumped that some more information would be useful but given that you are using the web version I would try deleting all the site data in your browser. In Chrome this is done by going to the Evernote web version and clicking the "View site information" icon to the left of the url 🢂 Cookies and site data 🢂 manage on device site data 🢂 and then delete the data using the trash can icons. When you go to the site again and login, Evernote will have to download the "app" and data so it should solve any corruption issues.
  7. Hi. If you want to try some email options, there's a 'forgot password' link at Evernote.com (but you need access to the email address to use it). Otherwise you can only contact Support. They're a little overwhelmed, but here - https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new please be patient for a response.
  8. Hi. We're mainly other users here, so no great insight into payment issues - however I suggest you contact Itunes to see if they can help. If you can't change payment methods there, then stop paying and allow your subscription to lapse. Your account will become 'Basic' with limited access - but you can then immediately upgrade again via iTunes or direct with Evernote with whatever payment method you wish.
  9. Because there are millions of users (still) and a simultaneous download - even over 24 hours - would crash the site. Updates are released to groups of users over weeks. Anyone can go to Evernote.com and individually download the latest version if they wish.
  10. Hi. Since v10 has to set up a new local management system on your device and download your entire database it can seem slow at first. Plus in the past year v10 has a new data structure to optimize automatic syncing. Notes originally created in Legacy take a few seconds to update to the new structure when they're loaded for the first time. If you leave Evernote active for some while (possibly some hours) after updating it will catch up. If it's still slow after that, there's probably something wrong with the installation. Mine works effectively on a 10-year-old laptop. It's not advisable to downgrade your app, but there is already a newer version - maybe download 10.83 from Evernote.com and try again?
  11. Today
  12. I think the latest update brought a fix for this problem.
  13. Hi. Device / OS / Evernote version? And what exactly did you do to cause this?
  14. Yes, the web clipper only activates when at least 1 tab is open. Until then it is visibly greyed out (at least on Safari and Firefox).
  15. Sadly? Happily! ♥️ I just hope the community of people like me stays large enough, such that Evernote will keep investing in a faster tool for our usecases.
  16. The data structure behind the older versions are not compatible. The cloud service and the client need to communicate using the same protocol. Update the client. If this doesn’t happen automatically, download and install the latest version from the EN website.
  17. Hi. Are you able to change the contrast on your monitor(s)? There are no options -yet- in Evernote. We're mainly other users here, and Support is overwhelmed, but you could raise it with them at https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new please be very patient for a response.
  18. Sadly I'm one of the ones with the 'right' hardware and processes to think that Evernote is outstanding. Everything opens instantaneously - with occasional exceptions of course; but the usual experience is speed. It is getting better...
  19. A great light dawns... That AI edit option pops up when you have selected enough content that the AI could - if you wished - suggest a different layout. I'm still 99.9% sure that it would have no effect on you manually editing the selected area in any way that you wish, including changing images. But you'd need to contact Support (who are currently "a little busy") - and be very patient - to get more on this. https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new
  20. Hi. Please try to uninstall and reinstall your app - you may have been using an older version of Evernote for which support ended last night. If you are unable to download an update you may only have access to your notes via the web or another device. Support is a little overwhelmed, but here - https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new please be patient for a response.
  21. Thanks for sharing this workaround! It's quite a hidden trick indeed and not at all obvious. Appreciate you taking the time to explain the steps. It's a bit cumbersome, but it's good to know there's a way to access earlier dates beyond the apparent limit. Your patience in figuring this out is commendable!
  22. Hellow my pink friend (no irony here, I genuinely like you and you helped me a lot on top of that). Evernote v10 when changing tags, when switching views is much, much slower than Evernote legacy. Opening a note in 1-2 seconds compared to <200ms in Legacy is for me a delay which hurts my process. I believe it many times is a multiple of 2 seconds, for new notes, no conversion, fully synced (as far as is possible with the current bug that seems to exist in offline syncing). 10.80.x seems to be hanging also every now and then, freezing up. But that's new. I hope they fix that soon. Imagine I open bursts of notes, like 4 notes, docked to each corner of my screen. Copy-pasting data in between them, changing a bunch of tags, closing them, opening another 2 tot 4, docking them, changing tags, Editing data. Then repeating that process. Then the current Evernote is slow. Slower than my own brain at least. That's not the level I want for a second brain. On top of that, like you said, the multi-note actions, like batch changing tags, or merging are creepily slow compared to legacy. So there are usecases where it is really annoying to use v10. 🙂 But.... The upside... It got much faster, and went from unusable to hindering/annoying the past 6 months for me. I hope next 6 months they bring it to the level of speed I am used to and desire.
  23. So others are feeling too and its not just me, i guess. Can't deny, this slow nature does give a bad web app feel currently. And it's not about counting seconds, as a user the overall experience has been bad. I expect bare minimum v7 performance from any update, but it's far from that. Be it opening note, editing it, etc, the entire thing has far lesser productivity than v7. Moreover removing existing features like auto-correct is quite annoying. Why just remove useful features like these. Are there any good alternatives that have been discussed. I have decent amount of notes currently.
