  1. Past hour
  2. I'm in pretty much the same situation. EN 10 would basically be a perfect match for my workflow and needs - it just doesn't work, and the UI is totally messed up and changes randomly. Have already moved most of my stuff away. At the moment waiting to see how that new reformed/extended tasks function turns out.
  3. Not even by selecting one file 😞 - but it's a good idea 😉
  4. Today
  5. My fault, I was not clear. I was updating my list of EN wanted features and remarking that TOC is now possible in EN last version (not Legacy). And yes, I mean TOC inside a note, not from multiple notes.
  6. For the moment, we don't know an URL to achieve this (but it's a good idea 😉) You may use your eMail client to create new notes without starting EN itself: Take your EN import eMail address from account settings (Kontoinformationen... -> Kontoübersicht -> Notizen per E-Mail senden an) Use your eMail client to create an eMail to this address Subject line becomes the title of the new note Body will be text of new note Send the eMail - some seconds later you'll find a new note in EN See Save emails into Evernote – Evernote Help & Learning for more information (i.e. adding tokes to define Reminder, Notebook and Tags)
  7. I was starting to be on my way out due to the v10 UI Revamp from January/February. The 'Press "/" to insert an element', AI Edit Popup, Files Feature, Green to Blue internal links, increased line spacing and probably more (that I can't remember off the top of my head) just confirmed it for me. I loved v10 and I was actually fine paying up to $200 a year because I got so much value out of Evernote up until a couple of months ago. However, I need a stable Evernote to be productive. Probably 90% of my usage is for productivity work and 10% usage is for archive/file storage. I'm sure if those numbers were flipped it might be a different story for me. The constant churn, bugs, and beta and A/B testing on users gives me a feeling of loss of control and unproductiveness and some of the recent changes just aren't for me. I feel like I'm on shaky ground and I keep wondering what is next? Maybe it works for their bottom line and they should do what is best for them, but I gotta do what is best for me too. Perhaps I'll be back if and when the dust ever settles.
  8. It is sort of a nonsense list this way - the TOC that was now introduced NEVER existed in any prior version. First it is a TOC inside of a single note, pointing to anchors inside of the note. Legacy only had a TOC of several notes, and no anchors inside of notes. Second it is easily possible to insert a TOC of several notes in v10. It is simply wrong to do as if it would not be possible. Third the new TOC was introduced in both desktop clients, Mac and Windows. Opposite to legacy, where new features (if there ever were new features at all) were always only introduced in one of the clients. Code sharing was not possible in that crooked app generation.
  9. - And please don't post more than once n the same subject - I deleted your other post.
  10. All the extra padding and increased line spacing that has been added recently to a note is super annoying. Notes I could previously see in whole I now have to scroll to read. How is that a good user experience? For example; all the extra padding that has been added to the top (and bottom) of a note makes no sense. Can we please have to the option to remove/hide/change padding and line spacing in a note.
  11. If you're still having issues, I'd suggest you tell Support about it - not all users have the same experience, and unless Evernote get a certain amount of feedback from users on this matter, they're likely just think it's happening in isolated individual cases.
  12. So, after waiting a while for the complete synchronization, here is the result. - a note with a pdf file that is opened for the first time takes a while (approx. 2 turns of the green waiting indicator) - After I open the note and open it a second time, the time it takes to display the first page of the pdf is reduced to about 1/2 to 1 turn. - this is still far from "fast" and slower than in Legacy - when connecting with wifi instead of a wired network connection the time increases again. - Therefore, I suspect that even after a note has been opened with pdf and then possibly ended up in the local cache, something still has to be transferred over the Internet each time it is opened again - All in all, I still find the current version much slower, I would even say hard on the edge of acceptability if you really want to work with it - scrolling through the notes to display the first page of the pdf file is therefore annoyingly slow - Even many of the relativizations about the speed of the app expressed here in the forum are of little use, I think anyone who is interested can understand this for themselves in their evernote environment Conclusion: I hope that the developers still have speed as priority 1 on their list. New features like the file display are certainly helpful, but in the version just released they are far from professionally implemented and bug-free. I am therefore not sure whether the decision-makers and/or developers have the right focus
  13. And ? Posting without any sense. What do you want to share with the community ?
  14. The fonts have also been changed by the way, and made bigger.
  15. TOC has just been implemented in last EN Windows version
  16. This won’t work - a note link is unique, leading to a specific note. Once used, the note is not empty any more The usual way to get a new note fast is the EN helper on desktop (the little icon in TaskManager or MenuBar), or a widget on mobile.
  17. Sadly the improvement lasted only a few days and I am back to a lag of hours or a day. In the latest enactment of this bug, it is especially frustrating as the correct list of tagged notes shows up very quickly, but within a short time the recently tagged ones disappear from the list of notes with the tag. I am once again resorting to the table of contents method to get round this bug. Hopefully the improvements on the desktop versions will be reflected on mobile soon!
  18. Hello there, I wanted to now if there is a link/url which creates a new blank note automatically something like this: https://www.evernote.com/client/web#/notes/-1 or https://www.evernote.com/client/web#/notes/new I would like to have a bookmark in my browser and open a new note with one click. Best regards and thanks in advance :)
  19. I am writing this after the new evernote event feature, that allows to create an internal calendar event without having to create it first in google calendar or outlook calendar. I also read that soon there will be an option to create google calendar events from evernote and it's awesome, and I'm sure you are also working on other features. But I would like to share some that maybe you are not working on and I hope you will make available: -creating an event when I am entering it as attachment: if I am in a note and I want to attach an event, I have to select one that I already created in the calendar page, and it would be useful to have a "create new event" button. -highlighted days with an event in monthly view: I use Evernote to have a comprehensive view of my notes across all notebooks, also by the time they were created to see what happened in that period, so instead of selecting each day to see if there is an event, a small icon like a dot or the number of the day highlighted would be useful -duplicate event: this is one of the features already present in google calendar. I work part-time with shifts made on a weekly basis and each friday I duplicate the most recent event for the upcoming days that might be different from the previous week. -set event for the day of the creation of the date: yesterday I digitized some notes from a class I had last week. I did not create the event in google calendar. I would like to simply enter the note, select "insert event", then "create new event" and have a side button that suggests the day those notes where taken. -easier "change creation date" button: related to the above request, I often change the creation date of a note so I have everything in chronological order related to when that thing happened, not when I created the note. It's not even possible on Android but it's a "meta" adjustment I don't have to make on the go. Since it's also possible to change the creation date into a date in the future, the notes list set by creation date turns into a planner and I have my upcoming events always on top. I know this last one is not a specific request, I'm just saying it's a small metadata that actually improves the overall organization.
  20. recently I noticed that evernote App is not working on my android device (Android V9) and I decided to add this information to my google review. I have to admit that I was a little surprised to see so many recent negative reviews of evernote there, but what made me really confused was that I could NOT edit or add my previous reviews of evernote App on Google Play Store. However, I CAN STILL edit my rating reviews on all the other apps, like youtube, facebook, amazon kindle etc. I wonder if anyone also notice that ?? Is it possible that Evernote disabled the review function so that their rating on google play store won't be degraded so quickly?? the attached photos show the difference between facebook and evernote Apps on my smart phone.
