  2. Hey -- I'm an older user and I think the speed of v10 is intolerable. 🙂 I wish I could say it's getting better, but it's not. I uninstalled, AppCleaned, and reinstalled. It still sucks. I spend several minutes of every day now waiting for sync to catch up with me. Because god forbid we be allowed to sync manually. And of course, there's the small matter of offering absolutely no support to customers who are now paying significantly more for the "enhanced" product.
  3. Yep - EN sends a "Thanks for reaching out..." eMail - but forgot to mention the ticket# with the eMail 😞 But you can go to https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests after submitting the ticket and you will find a list of all your tickets. You can sort the list by "Created" and "Status"...
  4. @ThomasCee has posted a really useful thread I was following about Joplin features and I had planned on posting there to help him, myself and others. His thread was polite and good natured. His thread was deleted. This place...
  5. Most of this forum disagrees and certainly most of this thread. Either you have a magical installation or you're really not bothered by the laggy slowness of the app. Which is fine and your preference but it cannot be used as evidence to dissuade the many others who have a problem with it and know there is something fundamentally wrong. I would in fact posit - a least based on a few profile pics here and putting two and two together - that the divide on whether Evernote V10 is fast enough seems so go down demographic lines to an extent. Older users seem to find the speed of the app perfectly acceptable. So I wonder if that's what's going on here.
  6. More critical is which version of the Evernote software are you having problems with? If it is earlier that v10.65 including v7, v6 etc then these have been withdrawn and will give this very issue. Uninstall the software you have and download and install the latest version available from evernote.com/downloads/ You will regain access to your notes. If you have more than 50 notes or 1 notebook then you will be restricted and unable to create new notes. You will be able to edit existing notes. In this case subscribing is your only option if you wish to create new notes or access more than one notebook.
  7. @gazumped Thank you for the prompt and kind answer! Unfortunately I don't have a ticket number, when I submit a ticket I don't automatically receive a number.
  8. I get a constantly changing list of tags - what Legacy had was a constantly changing list of note search results.
  9. No, sorry. If you have a ticket number we can tag it for a Forum Admin to have a look at, but the Support team have been underwater for weeks - you'll need to be patient for a reply!
  10. Hi. There aren't many Teams users in the Forums here - we're mostly just individual users. No clue personally as to how to refresh a Teams search index - the usual one is to sign out of the app and delete the local database, then uninstall with Revo Uninstaller (win) or Appcleaner (Mac) to clear data that the OS doesn't remove, then download and install a new version from Evernote.com. No clue whether that's possible or safe in Teams. The other option is to have a look through the help pages and see whether you can find something that helps - https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/209006117-Evernote-Teams-Toolkit (This is new today!) There's a link to Support in there which you could follow - please come back here and post any ticket number you get; we can flag it with the Forum Admins which might get you some priority...
  11. Re-Check: Problem occurs only on a Win11 system with 10.82.2. It works fine with older EN versions and on Win10.
  12. Today
  13. So I deleted two comments here because I'm now fed up with schoolyard arguments. If you dislike remarks made here, please use 'ignore' or just move on. Sniping back just continues the aggravation. Venting, requests for help, and grown-up responses welcomed. Anything else, please keep it to yourself.
  14. Thanks for this. My machine is indeed under corporate management so will ck w/ them.
  15. Hello! I've been logged out of all my devices on Evernote, and it seems like a widespread issue affecting many users. It's likely an action taken from Evernote's side. Unfortunately, I no longer have access to the device where I set up 2FA in Google Authenticator, making it impossible to log in. I've followed the steps outlined in Evernote's support article on two-step verification issues, but after two days of submitting a support ticket with all the necessary details, I haven't received any response from the support team. Is there a direct contact for Evernote's support team or an alternative method to solve this problem? Thank you!
  16. I use it the same way. It is miss or hit. Also, there seems to be a bug when choosing a tag, it shows the last note that was shown instead of all the notes of that tag, when using "Switch to". Also jumping from note to note is troublesome many times, when you do that often and fast. If you slow down your own actions, it works better. But then you have to reduce your own speed to 25% of what I normally do. I recognize your problems. I work the same way, with hundreds of tags (much more powerful than notebooks). It provides multi-dimensional organizing. About half of the delays in many places are random. Today, I've been editting hundreds of notes again, changing tags and such. My Evernote (again) is in some state of delayed index updating of the DB. I get the feeling I use more changes than the API accepts calls per hour, or something like that....and then Evernote needs loads of time to catch up with what I do.
  17. Amazingly (and with no notice related to previous support cases), the add-in for Outlook on the web started working again a few days ago. If you haven't tried it lately, check it out and see if it works for you.
  18. Dare we ask how you went about doing that? The support situation is beyond horrible, and something needs to be done about it. If there's another avenue available (other than relying on fellow posters here or creating tickets that will be ignored for weeks), it'd be great to know about it. Maybe if the product manager gets enough "feedback," someone at BS might realize their support is pure BS.
  19. Hmm-- this didn't work for me. All my notes still had super wide margins. Until I quit and restarted EN after adjusting this setting, then it seemed better.
  20. What About it. It's free for the app using local storage. You only pay fort Sync or Publish. Also if you don't need all your notes with you all the time (as in my case), you can set up a new vault for mobile that is always in sync for free. So what is scary about free? Are you wondering about the sustainability of the product? Because there is an army or plugin developers all taking donations from "buy me a coffee" and such that are building this platform out faster than any non open source company can. EN wishes they could match the speed of development. So what element scares you? '
  21. I've had mixed results with speed over the years. v10 has never been as quick as Legacy, but at times it has been good enough for me. Just now though, I clicked on an internal link and nothing happens, wait 5 seconds and it dumps me to the "Home" page. I click the back button and it takes me to the internal link I clicked on in the first place. That whole process took 7 or 8 seconds. Sometimes if I click again on the link before it dumps me to "Home" it will load all the notes and take me to a random note and then I can click the back button and it will take me to the right now and I can save a couple of seconds. This is on 10.82.2 of Mac Desktop direct download. I bring up the 'Switch To' command and 'switch' to filter by a different tag -- nope it keeps me at the same filtered tag. So I repeat the 'Switch To' command and this second time it works. I click on a note in that filtered-by-tag list and it loads that note ok, then I click on an internal link and instead of taking me to that note, it dumps me in the notebook and takes me to the fist note in the list. Perhaps it's my use of 'Switch To' and tags that is different at the moment here from many of you. I don't use notebooks as I organize by tag instead and I generally use the 'Switch To' command to find things vs the regular find dialog.
  22. Hi, me and my work team are having a problem since Tuesday when we try to search for notes in one specific notebook (with over 3000 notes). Most notes don’t pop up in the search result, when we type in title name or part of the title. If we search for particular tags, then we do still get all the correct notes, but not if we type in specific words. All notes are still in the notebook, it's just the search that doesn't work. When looking to solve this I tried turning on the ‘Share link’ for some of the notes and after restarting Evernote, these do turn up in the search result, so this fixes the problem. It is however impossible to do this for over 3000 notes unless this can be done in bulk. Anyone an idea of what might be going on? This is a shared notebook already, so don't know why we would need to turn on the share link to fix this... I tried re-installing the notebook, re-installing Evernote, everything I could think of.
  23. I've been using Evernote free for the last decade but this week I tried to login and it just shows this. Can anyone help understand why I can't login? Have I used too many notes? If I start a subcription, will this give me access?
