  1. Past hour
  2. And I don't like google calendar or Microsoft. Unfortunately I like Evernote
  3. First you are way back on updating. The current desktop client is 10.85.2. Second you can only share a notebook to known recipients. You can’t share it by public link any more.
  4. Grrrr.....still not working. As admin I publish a notebook to my team. They do not see it in shared on their computer. Mac 10.76.2
  5. Yesterday
  6. iCal is not yet an option, and we have no indication that it will be added. You can sync your Apple Calendar with Google, and then sync the Google Calendar with EN. Personally I don’t - I don’t trust Google.
  7. And, are Microsoft and Google calendars the on ones that will integrate? I don't see any mention of Apple Calendars.
  8. I believe that code blocks are getting some attention. Don't expect a piecemeal update.
  9. https://evernote.com/compare-plans Occasionally rebated plans are on offer.
  10. What will the new yearly charge be for Pro? Thanks. Dan
  11. Thanks for posting. Actually this thread was about the Skitch app, that EN provided for iOS and Mac at the time this thread was created. Who has it still installed can continue to use it - but in general the app is now deprecated. Your solution looks as if it is from a Windows PC. For PC and Android Skitch was not available.
  12. The table columns have limitations. No dropdowns and no tasks. And it looks bad. Having columns like on Notion would be amazing!
  13. EN 10.85.1 android, update today: bug still not fixed 😒
  14. Can you multiselect files and drag these to your desktop?
  15. Found that you can disable the sound for Evernote screen capture... SETTINGS > NOTIFICATIONS & ACTIONS > Scroll down to Evernote and switch to OFF
  16. For me, it just took around 4 seconds to open the Files screen. Remember that Files is a work in the earliest stages of development. It is, I think, a response to the fact that many Evernote users work wqith file attachments more than notes. The idea has been to develop something that will all the developers to see what is proving useful. So feedback is definitely going to have some influence. But if it really doesn't fly then I imagine Files could disappear as suddenly as it appeared. If they are monitoring just @bmcl26 and my use then expect it to go soon
  17. It won't matter. I doubt if I will have any further use for this or need to open it again.
  18. app. 1 second with 20625 files Yep - but Files ist faster - and will be limited to attachments 😉. Regarding deleted attachments: If they reside in Files even after Trash is cleaned: Might be either a caching problem or is simply a bug for the moment...
  19. I've just come back to Evernote from Obsidian, and really miss this feature, there's even toolbar buttons in its mobile app to move lines up and down, very useful for quickly reordering lists. In VS Code and Notepad++ I use alt+up/down for moving the current row, and alt+shift+down for cloning the current row. Would be great to have these features here as well.
  20. I did this downgrade myself to remove the line spacing issue. I then investigated alternatives and have now exported all my notes into UpNote. I'm afraid that Evernote has done this 'upgrade' imposition too often. I'm still annoyed at the 'Press "/" to insert an element' fiasco. Introduced without the option to remove until enough people complained and then the option to remove appeared. Imagine if enough people in the eyes of Evernote hadn't complained. We'd now be suffering this annoying reminder everytime that we clicked 'enter'. Going back in time, the choice of fonts shrunk to a few - all in the name of keeping things uniform across platforms. ie, a reduction in choice was imposed on us. I've been with Evernote since 2011 but I've now had enough. UpNote does all that I need. It's very clean. And it lets the user set the line spacing by using a simple slider.
  21. My mind is blown that you would be frustrated on the limitations of the free version of a product. You aren't leaving. You were never a customer or a user of the real software. The new features are quickly transforming it from my note and digital storage software to my everything software. I think you would have a different opinion if you weren't looking for something for free. Think about most "free" software.. those companies (Google, FB etc) are taking your data. You are the product. I highly doubt there is any profit in a free tier EN customer. It's basically an evaluation tier.
  22. I installed Version 10.85.4 hoping it would resolve the issue of table borders not printing. Now, if I try to print a note directly from Evernote, it spools but never gets to the printer. If I choose "More Setting" and "Print Using System Dialog" options and print, everything prints.
  23. I have the same issue on Mac, and it makes my regular use of long lists much more difficult to use and see my lists. I agree with @landymangk in this thread: if you're going to introduce a meaningful formatting change and make it the default, at least give the user a way to adjust it. I'll have to find a way to downgrade and turn auto-updates off again (I had to do this several years back too when every new update brought new bugs and changes, but I thought those days were behind me. It's sad that Evernote seems to be returning to its old ways again).
  24. You are right, but it is still only displaying the name of the note not the name of the header. This might be OK in some circumstances but I think it should display the text of the header (like the TOC does) or possibly the name of the note and the header. It depends how people end up using the links. I think a link in a different note that contains the name of the note and the name of the section it is going to take you to, would be a really nice feature. At the moment an anchor link copied to another notes simply behaves the same as a normal link - it takes you to the note but doesn't scroll down to the correct section. So my concluson is that the TOC works (provided you unfold everything first) but I'm strugling to see the benefit of the anchor link feature, although I hope this is still work in progress.
