  2. On the iPhone, when I open the hamburger menu, tap "Tags," and then select a specific tag, I see a list of notes associated with that tag. However, the displayed notes may not accurately reflect the current tags; it might show notes that were tagged previously but exclude notes that were tagged more recently. This issue doesn't seem to be related to synchronization. For example, if a tag is removed from a note, the list correctly shows the note without the tag "badge" (though it shouldn't show the note at all). Additionally, the count number displayed next to the tag name appears accurate. For instance, a tag labeled “Standup (3)” might only display one note when selected, with two notes missing. I do not experience this problem with Evernote for Mac or Evernote on the web. This situation is particularly frustrating as I rely on tags to locate notes for specific purposes, such as using a "Standup" tag for items to discuss during our daily stand-up meetings. Not being able to find notes I know were tagged "Standup" is inconvenient. I have reported this issue to Evernote support and will follow up here if I receive any helpful recommendations from them. Meanwhile, I'm curious if anyone in the community has encountered this issue and found a workaround. -Alex
  3. If you share a note online, or export to html, or send it as a mail: checkboxes are working, but checklists are converted to bulletpoints.
  4. We are not talking about typing a command. I don't think Windows can possibly know that / is a command in EN. If you select text and press any of the "autoformatting" combinations in EN they will delete the text. The same happens if you highlight text to make it into a link. Ctrl+k or the insert menu or the tool bar icon adds the text to the "text" section of the link menu. Typing / deletes the text.
  5. But that means that MAC and PC behave differently. That's not good either. I thought the whole Electron business is about avoiding that.
  6. I'm afraid I can't add anything to the discussion of what happens to checkboxes created in legacy as it is a long time since I used legacy. Going forward there are now two features, Check boxes and checklists. Checklists are lists so can be dragged around into different orders, indented etc. There is also the option to strike through text when a checklist is completed. They can be added using the menu commands or the {open square braket}{close square bracket} shortcut as the beginning of a line. Hitting enter at the end of the line automatically creates the next checklist item. Checkboxes are stand alone and can be added anywhere. You can use multiple checkboxes in a row. They are more like a character. However if you attempt to add a checkbox at the beginning of a line EN will automatically turn it into a checklist. The workaround is to add a character (eg a period) before the checkbox. The filter/search for notes containing checklists/checkboxes is a bit hit and miss - search for a full discussion on the forum if that is important to you. I tend to use checklists most as I like the crossing out and the ability to easily sort them into an order. I mainly use checkboxes if I want to use multiple checkboxes in a row.
  7. Really, like with CTRL-C (to copy)? The text is not replaced. Text is replaced by a new character. But not if you press a command: I just pressed CTRL-B while "command" was selected. It didn't get replaced, it became bold.
  8. Is there no way to reactivate the normal start screen? I've already deleted all my data and reinstalled, but that didn't help either. I've been an Evernote customer since 2008, but they've never made such a mess.
  9. Did the problem solve ? I am facing the same issue. Let me know what worked for you.
  10. I'm not really sure the / was intended to be used like that. If you slect text and hit any key the text is replaced by that key. This default Windows behaviour kicks in before the menu appears. If you are going to select some text and turn it into a code box I guess you will either have to use the insert menu or even better the keyboard shortcut (ctrl+shift+L)
  11. On iOS with touch control it’s different from a „real“ computer. There is would be ctrl / cmd-A. If you use a physical keyboard, this works on iOS as well. With touch on an iPhone select the first word. Put your finger on the selection and leave it there until a magnifier appears under it. Keep your finger on the screen and move downwards. It will fast scroll, selecting all in between.
  12. It's a bit hidden. Slide to the left when you are in tags overview. Pres "..." and a menu pops up, choose "delete tag"
  13. I have submitted so many support tickets for problems with bullets, since 2021. My issue is that when you paste from another application (e.g. Word) , text that is a combination of normal text and bullets, when it appears in Evernote, it shifts the text so all the bulleted text appear after the non-bulleted text.

  16. thaks restart helps... should I delete this whole thread?
  17. I think there was another post about this. Have you tried closing the app and restarting?
  18. Hi Pete, I am new to the forum but thought there were Windows 10 users here? Regarding creating links, I had tried to make it clear that I can create new links and fix old links by manually editing them. My problem is with all the existing links from Legacy that broke when translated to Evernote 10. What I am looking for is way to fix them all at once with a macro or command so I don't have to invest the time into fixing the hundreds or likely thousands of links manually. Thanks!
  19. Same here. Generally when you select some text and hit "/", the text disappears. About developing habits: Don't think Evernote development team is using Evernote in their daily life, and therefore not really aware of habits and routines users are having.
  20. Well, for those of us on Personal, perhaps the AI Edit will be a Professional feature only so it will go away. oh - yikes - I've seen a vision of the possible future and here it is: (Note - this was just a joke.)
  21. Then you muyst seek help from those who use Windows 10. I've just copied a test file filepath from my documents folder and pasted it in Evernote 'File' menu and it looks like this:( and it works)
  22. @gazumped Thank you so much, I received a reply to the ticket and solved it! 😀 You are the best! Also, thank you so much @AlbertR!🙏
  23. Can someone please advise me how to “Select All”, in order to highlight text all at once, in a note? When I’m in a note, I am only seeing a “Copy” button, meaning I have to scroll down while highlighting ALLLL… the way down to the end of the note in order to select it all. And *then* I can hit “Copy”. How can I “Select All” or what can I do so that it just highlights the entire note at once, making this much easier/quicker? Thanks!! Stacey (BTW, I have no idea if this has anything to do with their new upgrade or not but it seems I was able to do this before. (I use Evernote on an iPhone in case that matters)).
  24. No problem here with Evernote 10.81.4 on macOS.
  25. I must have a flaky installation…. Can anyone confirm if they see this behavior: If I have some text in a note that needs to go into a code block, I just select that text and go to the blue "+" menu, select "code block" and then the text is in the code block. If, however, I select the text and invoke /codeblock (via the slash commad), the code block appears but without the text, the text is deleted. If so, that would be again an inconsistent behavior (I know it can solved by a workaround: pressing CTRL-C before invoking /codeblock) that prevents developing habits and -- once again -- reduces productivity. So I would report it, if someone can confirm. I am on Windows V10.82.2.
