  2. Just found this chat so transfered my last post from another location. The ability to group and view tagged notes on the fly via the mobile app is very important but this issue makes that impossible. The link below shows my problem using the PC to create/edit tags and the Android mobile version to utilise those chages on the go. https://www.evernote.com/shard/s2/sh/cb3ab017-d1fb-7891-7851-2db9fc428694/Nx8q6DgiB8iskusciOVPOj-E1-qQT3FYjDRr8j2MDYnRhZkUuNCQ8lL5IQ Any sugestions? The option to reinstall every time a tag is edited is not viable.
  3. Two sensible places to look! Stacks do show up using switch to. Ctrl+Q on Windows but on Mac I seem to remember it is something completely different. Search for switch to in the keyboards shortcuts list (Help 🢂 Keyboard shortcuts)
  4. With me your request works automatically. Maybe a workaround for you: You can right-click Evernote on your taskbar (in Windows) ask the properties and change to Maximized as a workaround.
  5. Yes, I understand there is a certain frustration when switching between 2 app generations that are at least 10 years apart in their philosophy. Who was with v10 from day one like myself got them more step by step. No way around adapting workflows. Don’t hesitate to come asking.

  7. AFAIK you can’t. Both belong to the same client, and use the same zoom factor.
  8. My shooter of choice for the Mac is Shottr. Menu bar app, with a ton of options. You can’t create a note directly, of course. If you want to send screenshots to EN, save them into an Import Folder.
  9. Hello there, Every day I start EN client, it opens in the middle of my monitor with a default size (50% of screen height/width). Is there a way to make EN client v10-latest/Win remember the window size and position?
  10. I'm staying also. Though if they don't start delivering predictable quality so that my professional workflow is not hindered or made impossible all the time, I'll considering leaving. I'll give them 1½ years, but this may be shorter if they go downhill or cost me too much damage/image problems when not fucntioning (again) properly. 🙌👊👍
  11. Just had my price increase notification - subscription has nearly doubled, which is a bit of a shocker HOWEVER looking back over the 11 years I have been a subscriber the price has barely changed over that period. They say that on average inflation doubles costs every 10 years, so on that basis this adjustment (though unwelcome) might actually be a correct level reset based on what the price when I started was. Evernote has been pretty ropey in recent years, but is getting better, and as a repository, storage and retrieval system is something that I rely on, though I use it less and less for notetaking these days. Features that I need are all back from previous versions, only the speed needs to improve. I know the old " its only the price of two coffees a month" argument isn't a great one, but that's what the cost is at local prices here. I guess you need to choose what subscriptions are worth your two coffees and I've decided that Evernote is worth it for my use case. Respect to anyone who disagrees, but thought I should submit a positive against the overwhelming amount of bad press on here over recent months.
  12. Yes, AI popup seems to be gone on EN10.68.2 - Maybe because AI is now for Professional/Teams only, and it would be too much nagging to show it for everybody (who needs to upgrade to use it)?
  13. Uninstall using Appcleaner. That works better than the standard uninstaller and then download directly from the Evernote site and reinstall.
  14. Please help. Customer service is non-existent. I'm really desperate to access my notes on my Mac (Sonoma 14.4.1) and have had no luck uninstalling and reinstalling the Evernote app multiple times. This is what my app looks like, no matter how long it's open. Any ideas?
  15. The gmail piece stopped working about then. Probably that.
  16. Thanks for the feedback and the hints. Yes, what I meant was the desktop version in Mac, of course. There are screenshot tools, but with less functionality as the option in Evernote, to begin with, I cannot even use shortcuts. If you press the only option in the menu "more actions" only offers "quit Evernote". The web clipper helps, but it is not the same. We know that a habit of established over a decade. I have sent request when this function was first cut, and now again. Regarding the announcement of Legacy, I did not get any notification, reminders, emails... I was caught off-guard.
  17. AI Edit is still a beta test. As such anything can go wrong. The usual dance is log out / log in, maybe with a quit the app / restart the computer and uninstall the app / restart the computer. When this fails, you will only find answers with support.
  18. Your question has been answered already: You retain access to all existing notes and can even edit them. You can’t create new notes, and you can’t move them. https://evernote.com/blog/evernote-free-note-limits
  19. Ironically, the question about how many devices "Free" can be used on links to a page that doesn't work. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/209005247-Compare-Evernote-plans-and-limits Number of synced devices 4 4 For more information, see Understanding the device limit. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/218558068 This company is such a f-ing gong show!
  20. Unfortunately, I don't see anything in the 8 examples on that linked page that suit/answer my questions about what will happen to all my data and how I can access it after I stop my paid subscription.
  21. If you do more of the same, you get more of the same. Which in the case of EN led into a chronical lack of profitability, and finally in being sold / taken over. I doubt anybody wants more of the doing that led to this result ...
  22. Hi, Starting at the end of March I encountered a new problem: Doubled notes. I'd edit a note and add new text at the end. Some time later I'd look at the note and it contained two copies of the original note with the new text from a few days ago in the middle between the two copies. Also the title was doubled, e.g. "My Title" became "My TitleMy Title". This was aggravating but tolerable. Today I encountered a new variant: It's just like the original, only the the text I entered disappeared! I had spent 45 min. entering original information in the early afternoon and 4 hours later the note had doubled and my text was nowhere to be found. I had to recreate the material from scratch. For now I'm copying any text I enter into a Word document I keep on my desktop. Aggravating, time consuming, and wasteful but it beats having to recreate work from scratch. My programmer's instinct tells me that the problem is that I always edit in a note window (i.e. I double-click on a note in the main window) because the main window wastes so much room that there's no space to have anything else open on the desktop. My thought is that EN is merging the 2 note views (main window and note window) and messing that up. I'm running the Windows Evernote client ver. 10.83.5. My PC is running Windows 10 ver. 22H2 with an Intel i5-6500 3.2 GHZ CPU, 16 GB of memory, and system and data drives are SSDs. Does anyone have any idea how to remedy this? Please don't say contact support: the last time I had a problem on April 2 I submitted a support request and have yet to see a reply. I'm so done with EN but right now I don't have the time to analyze replacements, test, figure out how to move everything over, configure backups, and start using a new app. Any help regarding this would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike
  23. No personal insults intended. Just extremely frustrated by the way BS is doing things. Thanks for the link, I'll have a look.

  25. My device is HP Pavilion Notebook running on Windows 11 (23H2). Evernote - 10.85.4 version AI Edit doesn't work on any of my devices and even the web-evernote since month or so ago.
  26. EN does not support multi tasking with the mobile client. It will show, but not handle the reduced screen real estate. The mobile client was not optimized for tablets, and especially not for the iPads own way of multitasking. So it adapts badly to the challenge. You can ask the team for improvements here: feedback@evernote.com
