  5. You can align left (default) center or right. Done. If you need finer control, enter a table, make the columns the width you want and place the picture into a table cell. This allows as well to control the picture size - it will be the width of the table column. These are the options. For finer layout control use a word processor or a page layout software.
  6. I assume you use a desktop client (the slash shortcut is not available on mobile). But anything else, like a version number or an OS ? Would be really helpful to exchange some ideas about what may be wrong.

  8. I've had a paid account for eleven years but am minutes away from cancelling it because the latest version is such a hot mess. Specifically, I can no longer figure out how to do a simple function that I do every day: add an attachment to a note. Formerly I clicked the + sign, picked attachment from the pull down, and selected the file to attach. Now it just says "press '/' to insert an element." I press it and that pops up the pull down menu. If I select "attachment" it does nothing. If this can't be straightened out I'll just close my account and move to OneNote.
  9. This is a dilemma: Collapse and don’t show, extend and show. Obviously the decision is that serving the search is more important than keeping a user view (collapsing is just that, a modified view). And no, there is no memory for the collapsing status, with an „undo“ function. Personally I don’t think there is an easy way out that serves both goals.
  10. so AI functionality now costs $40/year (there is little in Professional vs Personal beside this perk unless you really need to store more than 10gb of data) Notion's AI addon is much more expensive: $96/year (granted, it's more powerful than what EN is offering)
  11. yes, EN can do this. but so can you and any user in response to their decision, there is a big notetaking app market nowadays (i for one migrated to free Notion plan and downgraded to the EN free plan and i don't miss the paid plan)

  13. i sent that kind of feedback twice: once when i started contemplating leaving EN and again before downgrading to the free account (having migrated to Notion). not sure if anyone read it or cared. i got no reply.
  14. For some solutions, you have to look for a combination of plugins and achieve their compatibility. But sometimes it's better than waiting for an act of mercy from the developers. 😁 I was confused that synchronization in Obsidian was more expensive than the Evernote package. However, it turned out that even synchronization can be set up for free, for example, through Google Drive. (There are other options, I chose the simplest one).
  15. I completely agree. If you want to type text and then turn it into a bulleted list, I agree that you need to highlight and either use the edit bar icon or the keyboard shortcut. I was simply pointing out there is another way of doing it in case that helps, and then in the second post, correcting your misunderstanding of how the auto formatting method works. I'm not sure that there really is a standard that all software, except EN, follows. MS Word for example using ctrl+shift+L for a bulleted list.
  16. But it doesn't work on existing lines, right ? you are still talking about writing new lines use case. If you have multiple existing lines that you want to convert into bullet point, i don't see how your solution works. But thanks for trying.
  17. Try a log out and back in again to see if it's all working. I have it ok here on windows. Not tried web yet but the new version releases don't always come at the same time.

  19. If I have collapsible headers (grouped) and a search is performed all grouped headers are now lost (not collapsed), so everything is ungrouped and I need to group again manually each category. Is there any way to re-group again everything not manually or another suggestion to try?
  20. Yeah and I hate it. The first thing I want to see are my notes. I do not create notes on my phone, but I do view them or edit them. Hopefully they will add an option to pick what you want to see when you open the app - create, notes, shortcuts, tasks, calendar.

  22. This all worked in Legacy... HELP!!! I can't figure out how to place an image mid-sentence (EG a small graphic/icon) to show what button to push, for example. I also cannot figure out how to indent an image by only a couple of spaces (EG a bullet, then image, etc) I can only set it at the LEFT MARGIN (or center/right), taking a complete line! This is useless for documentation. I "HOPE" I'm wrong!!!! How do I now accomplish this??
  23. Here is the fix To hide the inline hint in Evernote, you can select Note > Slash Commands > Hide Inline Hint from the menubar at the top of your screen.
  24. Thanks, Jon I thought that may be the case, so I created a task with a due date for tomorrow and nothing showed up in the calendar view. I also noticed that in the Web version of Evernote the Task tick box is missing.
  25. The tasks tick box shows the tasks due on that day. Head over to the task page and see if you have any.
  26. The latest version introduced a new Calendar that's internal to Evernote. When viewing the calendar, the left border under Evernote Calendar, shows two tick boxes, one for Events and one for Tasks (see attached screen clipping). When unchecking the Events box, the events disappear from the calendar and when checking the box the events appear. However, checking and unchecking the box for Tasks, doesn't seem to produce any results. Were the tasks due on a particular date supposed to show up on the Calendar when the box is checked? Otherwise, what's the purpose of the Tasks check box? I'm running Evernote 10.86.4 on a Mac Mini M2 Pro, running Sonoma 14.4.1.
