  2. Hi, Starting at the end of March I encountered a new problem: Doubled notes. I'd edit a note and add new text at the end. Some time later I'd look at the note and it contained two copies of the original note with the new text from a few days ago in the middle between the two copies. Also the title was doubled, e.g. "My Title" became "My TitleMy Title". This was aggravating but tolerable. Today I encountered a new variant: It's just like the original, only the the text I entered disappeared! I had spent 45 min. entering original information in the early afternoon and 4 hours later the note had doubled and my text was nowhere to be found. I had to recreate the material from scratch. For now I'm copying any text I enter into a Word document I keep on my desktop. Aggravating, time consuming, and wasteful but it beats having to recreate work from scratch. My programmer's instinct tells me that the problem is that I always edit in a note window (i.e. I double-click on a note in the main window) because the main window wastes so much room that there's no space to have anything else open on the desktop. My thought is that EN is merging the 2 note views (main window and note window) and messing that up. I'm running the Windows Evernote client ver. 10.83.5. My PC is running Windows 10 ver. 22H2 with an Intel i5-6500 3.2 GHZ CPU, 16 GB of memory, and system and data drives are SSDs. Does anyone have any idea how to remedy this? Please don't say contact support: the last time I had a problem on April 2 I submitted a support request and have yet to see a reply. I'm so done with EN but right now I don't have the time to analyze replacements, test, figure out how to move everything over, configure backups, and start using a new app. Any help regarding this would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike
  3. No personal insults intended. Just extremely frustrated by the way BS is doing things. Thanks for the link, I'll have a look.

  5. My device is HP Pavilion Notebook running on Windows 11 (23H2). Evernote - 10.85.4 version AI Edit doesn't work on any of my devices and even the web-evernote since month or so ago.
  6. EN does not support multi tasking with the mobile client. It will show, but not handle the reduced screen real estate. The mobile client was not optimized for tablets, and especially not for the iPads own way of multitasking. So it adapts badly to the challenge. You can ask the team for improvements here: feedback@evernote.com
  7. LOL - yes he posted "Getting same issue" on a thread that had been silent for 2 years before. No m ore information, which makes it instant nonsense. There were about 50 releases between this and the post before. Nobody can have "the same issue", because the software was completely renewed several times over since.
  8. Whoops, I'll repost on Windows client forum with version information.
  9. You don't have 2 windows on the Android client. That's the subform where you started this thread. So what about starting your quest(ion) with a simple information about OS, client version and other possible points of interest ?
  10. Don't know which web clipper feature broke, because none is broken (at least to my attention). There was a discussion about pdf clipping, which showed to be a correct behavior of the web clipper. The pdf was dynamically created from the website, so it showed, but couldn't be clipped. Printing the page to a pdf, and saving this into EN is a proven solution for the cases I have encountered. This requires no fix, because nothing is broken.
  11. If every freeloader who stays causes a loss of money by consuming resources, getting rid of that folk is definitely a win. EN had "acquired" a solid stock of "loyal" users - loyal in the meaning they expected to get all they needed for free, for ever. No idea what was the plan of the former management with these holdouts of non performing accounts. But I think this is resolved by now, which gives a clear focus of growing the business by winning users who get enough value to be willing to pay their share.
  12. Thank you again. I see what was happening now. My view and set up was because I had my text zoomed in to enlarge the note I am working on That way the 1st column collapsed and showed the icons and not the actual text links. My setup is for two screens. The left I have the regular EV and when I double click on the note I want to use, it comes up full on the 2nd screen. I still want to enlarge the text on the 2nd screen but it seems if I enlarge this both screens enlarge, so it goes back to the icons in col 1. How can I enlarge just the note on the 2nd screen without enlarging the basic view on the 1st screen?
  13. I hope you don't ever start a business with that "leaving is also a win" mindset. Not exactly a recipe for success.

  15. I'm on 10.86.2-mac-ddl and I'm not seeing the AI Edit popup button at the moment. No mention of it's removal in the release notes -- unless I missed it. Anybody else seeing similar? (And who knows when it could be back... and in greater numbers. 🤣)
  16. Hrm - and (if it wasn't a mistake) they'd have to allow decryption of encrypted content else we'd be locked out of part of our notes. Then would they not allow it to be edited or anything? Will be interesting to see. And being on Personal, I had earlier wondered "Well, for those of us on Personal, perhaps the AI Edit will be a Professional feature only so it will go away." Hopefully we don't see in-app adverts to try and get us to upgrade to AI Edit like this: Edit: I'm on 10.86.2-mac-ddl and I'm not seeing the AI Edit popup button at the moment although I can still use AI Edit on Personal for now.
  17. Thank you Gaz for your answer. Properly uninstalling with revo did the job, I'm now logged in and fully sync'ed. The login screen is night and day with the one I had until then though, all black and grreen, weird. Case closed, thank you so much
  18. That's a valid suggestion! It would definitely enhance the user experience in Sketch mode. You might consider reaching out to the developers or posting this idea in their feedback forum to see if they can implement it in future updates.
  19. I don't know if this is a mistake or maybe takes effect later but I have a personal subscription and can still encrypt notes
  20. I just letting you know the situation and giving you a better way to respond than complaining to fellow users. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/23565231682323-Note-and-notebook-limits-in-Evernote-Free-December-2023 There is no insider information. The information is there if you search. If you can't find answers to specific questions then ask away ... politely.
  21. One-way communication eh? How's that working out for users? Everyone getting what's on their wish list? Anyone getting major problems resolved? Maybe some of you 'insiders' can share some light on what exactly this comment from their boilerplate email is supposed to mean (specifically how the part "you will maintain access to all of your notes and notebook" relates to the limits of a free account)? "Your subscription won't change until your current billing cycle ends. Once your subscription runs out, your subscription will be canceled and your account will automatically revert to Evernote Free. None of your data will be lost, and you will maintain access to all of your notes and notebooks."
  22. Seems that Evernote subscription plans just changed. AI features (AI Edit and AI Search) and also In-note encryption are now only included in "Professional" and "Teams" 😮 https://evernote.com/compare-plans
  23. I doubt individual demands carry much weight and you have engaged enough here on the forums to know that it is unlikely Evernote will see this. Best to send your comments to feedback@evernote.com if you want to be heard, but don't expect a response. This communication channel is one way only.
  24. Why should I pay for subscription for a broken app without any available support? support ticket I just created after getting annual subscription email. I don't understand how a business can operate this way. "I have submitted several support tickets for very significant items such as missing attachments ('Untitled Attachments') and failed ENEX exports that have either not been answered at all or not addressed the problem. And on top of that there are plentiful other problems with V10 that you seem to be completely ignoring. So why should I pay an increased annual subscription price to a company that offers their clients service like that? I hereby announce that any future charges by Evernote or Bending Spoons to my credit card are unauthorised. In order to retain me as a client I require rectification of the two main issues I have described above in order to regain my trust of your app with my valuable data."
