(Archived) IDea: Dont make tags "CASE SENSITIVE" This duplicates tags

ive found tons of tags in my tag list that are pretty much duplicates.

Why - the way you process tags - you make a new one due to how you make tags "case sensitive" please dont do this.

also, please allow for subfolders within evernote too.

What client are you using? How are you adding duplicate tags? I can't add duplicates in the way you say with the Windows 3.5 client: 'todo', 'TODO', 'tOdO' -- it's all the same tag. Ditto the web client. As far as I can tell, tags *are* case insensitive.

The service should only permit you to create one tag with a given name, regardless of case.

I'm having an issue in Evernote on my MacBook Air - it's not letting me capitalize my tags now and is auto-correcting to lower case, against my trying to type in upper case.  (My Windows 8 PC lets me tag however I wish, though)
