ottomatik 0 Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 The last two times I've installed new versions of Evernote, my local notebook has gone away. It doesn't show up in Evernote and I can't find the folder on my computer. Is there a way to recover the local notebook?
engberg 89 Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Do you recall what version of Evernote you were using before you updated? Are you running Time Machine or any other backup software on that computer?
ottomatik 0 Posted April 16, 2010 Author Posted April 16, 2010 Thanks for the speedy reply.I'm not sure what the earlier version was, but I always update to a new version of Evernote as soon as it's available. I'm running Version 1.8.1 (79826) right now.I'm not using Time Machine, but I do have a back up from yesterday on an external hard drive (using SuperDuper).
engberg 89 Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 If you have a backup, then you can restore the local database and recover the notes from there:viewtopic.php?f=38&t=10518&p=41899#p41899
