Once in handwriting, how do you switch back to a keyboard?

• Are you using the handwriting feature found in Evernote or are you using the handwriting option on keyboard application?
• What device are you currently using?

Point one:  Don't know, I believe I clicked on the pencil icon while in Evernote

Not on the note page, just 3 icons

When I go to ColorNote, it also wants handwriting.  So, I believe somewhere I 've gotten the handwriting stuck... but where?

I deleted a Google note application and that seems to have cleared it up.  Case closed for now.  If it reoccurs, I'll be back.  No news is good news.
