Evernote for Mac 6.8 - Shortcuts on Startup

Hi! Since the most recent Evernote for Mac update 6.8, whenever starting up Evernote - it automatically brings up the 'Shortcuts' and 'Recent Notes' on the Sidebar. How do you turn this off??

You can un-tick showing Shortcuts & Recent Notes on the 'Sidebar Options', which hides it, but then it comes back again when restarting the program.

Please help!

The sidebar issue is a known problem and is being worked on
