Request: Screen timeout setting for Evernote

cherold

Idea

If I have Evernote open on my phone, the screen will never, ever dim or go off. Meaning I have to turn the screen off manually to save the battery. I can't find anything in the settings that would seem to effect screen timeout or dimming. Is there a way to make Evernote give control of the screen back to the OS?

Hello @cherold,

Thank you for posting and welcome to the forums. It is by design that the screen will not time out when in a note, as this could interrupt editing and the syncing process of the note. It would be good to have a screen timeout though. I will move this over to the feedback section so that other users can vote on this.

I agree, a screen timeout is needed. Just accidentally drained my battery by 30% in 30 minutes. Can you link to the post in the feedback section?

(looks up...)

It's already been moved to the product feedback section; all you need to do is add your vote...
