Attaching a file to a note

When I attach a PDF file to a note (by dragging it) the file opens automatically and the PDF document is displayed.
Can I prevent this?
I want the file to be displayed only when I doubleclick on it.

Which platform?  On Windows, yes: go to Tools > Options > Note, and uncheck Always show PDF documents inline.  You can also right-click any individual PDF in a note and on the context menu, toggle View as Attachment on or off to control that specific PDF.

On Mac, I don't know of a similar capability to control it on a global level.  You have the same note-level control as on Windows, though: right-click any individual PDF and select View as Attachment or View Inline.

Hi Phil,

I'm on Windows 7.
The option  "Always show PDF documents inline" is not checked...  (so there's nothing to uncheck...)
In fact, it used to work flawlessly for me. The problem started only after upgrading to the current version.
I attach a lot of PDFs to notes and this is a big problem for me. :(
Anyway, Thanks for your response.
Best regards,

Oded.

Hi gazumped,
I'm sorry for not responding earlier.
I simply overlooked your answer :(
I did try to drag holding the <shift> key down.
It didn't help... :(
Anyway, thanks for your answer.
Much appreciated :)
