"Save as PDF" always yields a blank note

Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this? The "Save as PDF" button has never worked for me; I only ever get a blank note with a placeholder like the one in the attached image, always about 20 KB or so, but no content.

To see the contents of the PDF in the Mac client: Either press the eye button to get a preview or right click it and select "View inline" from the context menu.
