Here are my thoughts. Do you think it's good that updating Evernote causes the icon to become blank? If not, is there anything being done about Evernote's taskbar icon problems? (I.e. This one and the double-icon problem and possibly others.) Is having the user uninstall and reinstall the entire Evernote program an optimal solution to this blank icon? Link to comment
