stops responding after finding update

Running Evernote 6.6 on iMac 10.11.3.

When I start up it finds an update but then stops responding. I can't update and have to force quit.

Standard self-help advice is to first try a reboot of your device.

I wouldn't let this hold me up too much.

My approach would be to remove version 6.6  and do a new install instead of an upgrade.

If necessary, also delete the database and have Evernote rebuild it from the servers (warning - the rebuild won't include local notebooks)

@bnation, a normal remove/uninstall may NOT fix your issue.  In many cases it is best to do a clean reinstall.
