(Archived) passwords with symbols still don't work?

I noticed this in the first Evernote-for-Pre release, but I figured/assumed/hoped it would be fixed in the 1.0 release.

I've been using a less secure password for months because Evernote-for-Pre doesn't allow me to log in with my preferred password. I just tried again with the more complicated password I prefer, and it still fails.

So: still an outstanding bug that Evernote-for-Pre doesn't work with passwords with non-alphanumeric characters?
