Remember the Notebook

snoova

Idea

Evernote does not remember the last notebook I was in on my Android. Once I close out all the apps on my phone, to save battery life, and go into Evernote again, I have to choose the notebook, then the file I want. Very frustrating. I don't have that issue on my iPad or desktop, just my phone. This has been an issue, which I have brought up to tech support before, for more than 2 years.

Hello @snoova,

Thank you for posting and welcome to the forums. When you fully shut down the Evernote application on Android and swipe away or end the process of the application, it will by default open back up to your note list instead of where you last were. If you wanted to, instead of clearing the application on Android, you could press the Home button. After doing so and then opening Evernote back up, it will open up the last state of the Evernote application when it was last used as long as the application wasn't swiped away or closed fully.

Doing this, as @snoova clearly said, wastes battery life. There is no reason the app can't be set to remember the last notebook used. We have been asking for this feature for at least three years, if not longer.
