Level 5 jbenson2 2,146 Posted May 6, 2016 Level 5 Share Posted May 6, 2016 Evernote could be gaining business due to major cutback on the Microsoft OneDrive program. 100 GB and 200 GB paid OneDrive plans are going away as an option for new users and will be replaced with a 50 GB plan for $1.99 per month. Free OneDrive storage will decrease from 15 GB to 5 GB for all users, current and new. The 15 GB camera roll storage bonus will also be discontinued. https://blog.onedrive.com/onedrive_changes/ Link to comment

In some instances, this exceeded 75 TB per user or 14,000 times the average. Instead of focusing on extreme backup scenarios, we want to remain focused on delivering high-value productivity and collaboration experiences that benefit the majority of OneDrive users. Yep, as soon as you offer "unlimited" anything, there will always be some that grossly abuse that offer. Since large total storage often is due to large files, or large number of files, services like DropBox might benefit more than Evernote. If you had 200GB of actual storage in OneDrive, that would mean it would require more than that in your Mac or PC, since Evernote does NOT offer selective sync. That might be a show stopper for some users. Link to comment
