(Archived) Search bar: cant exclude "example.com"

soundsgoodtome

Idea

i need to search for notes that exclude various words. usually it works well. in the search field, i enter:

-alpha -beta -theta

but i also need to exclude the string "example.com." however, when i enter...

-example.com

...evernote interprets it as:

search excludes "example"

search includes "com"

in other words, the search field treats the period in "example.com" as a delineation -- essentially treating it like a space. this is a bug. or, technically, a programming oversight. :-)

i'd love to see this fixed.

The documentation PDF says that punctuation splits search query into separate words, you you are really searching on -alpha -beta -theta -example com.

Try enclosing the string in double quotes: -"example.com"
