(Archived) Plain text email with image attachment --> No image

Recommended Posts

In experimenting with the "send a photo taken with your mobile phone" scenario, I've tried to send an email with an image attached, from my Blackberry to my personal EN email address. Those emails are sent as plain text. The email appears as a note in my online notes database, but the image does not show up.

When I tried to do something similar from my Outlook client on my desktop, the note was sent as Rich Text, with an image attachment. Both the contents of the email and the image appeared with no problems.

Any thoughts? Thanks much.

(Still very new to Evernote, and finding it very useful)

Interesting...

There was another report about this problem with Blackberry, and we are trying to reproduce it. What BB model are you using? What kind of email account - BB or some 3rd party?

Thank you!

It's a Blackberry Curve - model 8800 or something? The email system is a corporate Exchange server - ie: any mail I send from my Blackberry also appears in my "Sent Items" on my desktop's MS Outlook client. Note that I also forwarded that email from my Outlook client (with the attached JPG image) to the Evernote address. Again, the email and some text showed up, but the photo did not.

Hope that helps...

Same problem, with this email back from evernote:

Evernote was unable to submit your note for the following reason:

Emailed note was received, but was rejected due to problems with the note itself.

Blackberry 8300, AT&T, Exchange Server

I was having this problem as well: emailing an image from my blackberry pearl and getting a blank note. It was even blank when I forwarded the message from my e-mail client...

However, the image did show up when I used my blackberry and a non-exchange e-mail address. I have configured my blackberry to receive e-mails from multiple accounts and I used one of those accounts to send the message. The picture showed up fine when I did this.
