I can't log in to EN app after installing miui OS

Hi, 

I recently upgraded to Miui V5 android OS on my phone. All apps are working fine, except Evernote. I can't log in and the Please wait screen goes on indefinitely or reports connection error. 

I also noticed that sometimes a blue banner pops up saying Google Smart lock. 

So is there a firewall blocking Evernote or somerhing? Has anyone encountered this?

Ok. Solved. I downloaded an older version of Evernote, 7.0.1, and that works.
