Level 5* gazumped 10,415 Posted March 15, 2016 Level 5* Share Posted March 15, 2016 Hi. Which version of Windows do you have? Do you see any error messages when Evernote crashes? Link to comment
Yann Vincent 1
My computer is running Windows 7. no message error. Just starts opening. when Evernote starts loading notes it just crashes. when reopening it just asks to send crash report to Evernote. And crashes again at the same point. Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 10,415 Posted March 16, 2016 Level 5* Share Posted March 16, 2016 Hi. Try using Revo Uninstaller to remove your current installation. Start Revo, find and click the Evernote icon in the Revo window and let the software do its thing. Read these instructions first though - https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/208314248 When you've reinstalled the app it (hopefully) should behave. Link to comment

Yann Vincent 1
My celebration was short. It did start loading my data. Than after a while it crashed again. And wont open anymore (or at least it does) and crashes again. Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 10,415 Posted March 16, 2016 Level 5* Share Posted March 16, 2016 Hi. I'm sorry that failed so spectacularly. Have you run any sort of checks on your hard disk to see whether you have any physical problems or shortage of space? If you haven't already done so I'd suggest contacting support to get their expert opinions on this. Check you have your Activity Log available because they'll probably need that. They've got some suggestions about teching crashes which you could try while you wait for a human response. Good luck - and let us know how you fix this! Link to comment
adatom 0
I downgraded from the recent update (5.9.8.9906) down to 5.2.0.2503, and so far, I haven't seen the fatal error. This is after trying the usual approaches: Rebuilding after deleting local databases didn't work, and reinstalling after a Revo uninstall didn't either. (There's nothing magical about 5.2.0.2503...it's just the first former version I found.) Link to comment
Yann Vincent 1
I actually looked into My Notes and apparently one was corrupt beetween the 4 app I was using. So cleaned up that note. Had to desinstall fully on all hardware. And now everything seems to be working fine. Thanks for your help. Link to comment
