Recommended Posts

Dear Evernote developers.

Thank you for great app.

There is bug with OSX emoji using in Evernote.

Steps to get the bug:

1. Create note and put some text with OSX emoji here. Just type ": )" smile without space between symbols.

2. Sync the Evernote

3. Create the second note. Copy text from the first note (cmd+c) and paste to the second note (cmd+v).

See: the emoji icon was changed (by OSX maybe)

4. Sync the Evernote and boom:

So, there is activity log fragment:

* The Activity Log may contain information about your account and notes.
* For example, the titles of some of your notes may be mentioned in this log file.
* When providing log information, feel free to edit the file to remove anything
* you do not want to send us.

Thanks for sharing your discovery of this bug with us.  In order for Evernote to officially take notice of the bug, you will need to submit a formal bug report:

I recommend that everyone who experiences a bug to submit a bug report.  This will make sure that Evernote is aware of the issue, provide your environment data to help identify/fix the issue, and put more pressure on Evernote to fix.

Submit a BUG report via an EN Support Ticket. In the Support Form, select "Report a bug", and start the Ticket Title with "BUG:  " to make it clear.  Reporting a bug should be available to all users, including Free Account owners.  Other Ticket types available to Free users are "Data Loss", "Crash", & "Sync Issue", "Payment/Billing Issue", and  "Log in issues".
