Tags in Outlook Clipper - What Happened?

In previous versions of the Outlook Clipper, you could start typing a tag and then press enter and start typing the next tag.  If this version, to tag I must start typing, arrow or click down, press enter, and then click in the tag box again to start a new tag.   That is significantly more cumbersome.   Have I missed a shortcut or a process change or was this just bad design?   Does anyone have any suggestions to mitigate this?  It has slowed down my tagging by a very noticeable amount.

That is really not at all an acceptable workaround.   Previous functionality was removed (shocking! Evernote remove things that work?) and then the suggestion is to install another program?  No.  I don't have tag combinations that I always use, that would be redundant.  That's why I have combinations.

I appreciate the response, but that's just not viable.  I know I can't be the only one that thinks tagging emails is now unnecessarily complicated. I guess I will open a ticket.

I agree with this - I have accumulated in excess of 1700 tags - trying to reduce the number, but that takes a while! It is actually quicker to clip without tagging, then tag in the desktop... Tagging is a great way of accessing information that I really need - it works MUCH faster than free text search when you have 15000+ notes. I find tagging with Bank and National to be a much faster way of tagging than Bank-National for example. If I don't know what Bank I saved something under, the limitation to just the tags I have used for Bank makes it much easier to narrow down the number of notes quickly.

Hmmn.  As to 'not viable' workarounds - if that's the only game in town,  you either use it or not - your choice.  However I'm using the current beta 5.9.7 and the Outlook clipper allows multi-email selection,  plus I found that if you add your tag and hit comma "," the tag is applied and the cursor stays in the tag box ready for your next entry.  Don't know if that will work with the current public version,  but the changes are coming.

To summarise - Enter creates a tag but ends the process,  comma creates a tag and waits for another.  Kinda logical,  but somewhat weird.
