Jim Howes 1
I'm using the Evernote Windows desktop client, in Windows 10, on a laptop with location services enabled. Evernote fails to detect location on my notes. It doesn't detect it automatically, and when I click to set the location manually I get an error message in Evernote stating that the location request failed. Anyone else experience this problem, and know how to fix it? Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 10,333 Posted February 18, 2016 Level 5* Share Posted February 18, 2016 Hi. I'd recommend a support request. Don't know how a laptop derives its own location data - my tablet relies on GPS but the laptop doesn't travel so often or so far. Link to comment
Jim Howes 1
I don't know either, but location services work in Chrome so it does it somehow. I am on my home wireless network, which gets connectivity from a DSL modem connected to the phone jack, so I am assuming there is some location signature associated with that hardline connection. Thanks for the suggestion, I just submitted a support ticket. Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 10,333 Posted February 18, 2016 Level 5* Share Posted February 18, 2016 I'd guess your location is set from the internet connection to your IP. Please let us know how you get on... Link to comment
