Hi.  More details please:  what's your OS,  what version of Evernote are you using,  and what exactly are you doing to generate this error?  Are you using the Outlook clipper button to copy one email into a note?  Copying highlighted text?  A specific picture?

Thanks for reporting these issues. Can you please confirm the version (year) of outlook you're using? Also, does this issue occur with any email you attempt to save, or specific ones? Can you identify common features of the emails that produce the issue? E.G. attachments, emails with images, emojis in the subject line,  HTML in the email, etc.

I am getting the same error when trying to clip emails that contain images and rich formatting (web-like content).  Fails with error in the attached screenshot.  Running Windows 7 and latest version of Evernote v. 6.0.6.1769 (301769); Windows 7; Outlook 2013.

I'm having this issue also. Windows 10,Outlook 2010, Evernote Outlook Clipper v  6.0.6.1769.  Failure to attach message to Evernote occurs with every email I attempt to save, with and without attachments. No emojis, no HTML. Just straight text won't even work "failed to import."  This problem started week of May 9.

I'm having the same issue using windows 10 and Evernote Everywhere 6.1.2.2292.  I see this was reported back in February and still no advice or solution? Do Evernote techs even look at or address these issues?  What started out as a great program is becoming Everlessenticing due to their lack of support or refusing to address issues unless to pay for support.  GREEDY *****!

It's not always easy to find common factors with this sort of problem,  and a couple of months ago...

If you can supply more information it would help Evernote try to resolve these issues.

I'm experiencing the same issue.  Windows 10, Outlook 2016, Evernote 6.1.2.2292.  It occurs anytime i try to clip a Outlook meeting that has any rich formatting (including hyperlinks) in the meeting body.

Thanks for the reports. We're currently working on addressing these, and will update here ASAP. Please note the different troubleshooting methods for our two separate Outlook Extensions.

Outlook Clipper is bundled with Evernote for Windows Desktop and is compatible with Outlook 2010 and 2013.

Evernote for Outlook add-in can be installed from the Windows app store and is compatible with Outlook 2013 and 2016.

  •  If You're experiencing issues with the Evernote for Outlook add-in and Outlook 2013 or 2016, try disabling and enabling the app

If the steps above do not resolve your issue, please submit a ticket  with activity logs from both Evernote and the extension logs.  For basic users, please report your issue here. Make sure to include the following info:

  • Windows version
  • Outlook version (year)
  • Clarify if you're using the bundled Outlook Clipper, or the Evernote for Outlook Add-in.
  • Common features of the emails that produce the issue (if any). If this issue occurs with all emails, please say so.

Thanks for you patience as we work on addressing these reports.

MR AUSTIN

Silvana, from Brazil.

Windows 7 Ultimate, Outlook 2010, Outlook Clipper.

I am having the same problem when I'm going to save an email as a evernote note. The message is "Falha ao importar nota. No declaration for attribute style of elemnte BODY"

I´ve resintalling Evernote follow your instructions but the problem is the same.

It happens with emails that has pictures and links on it. I´ve tried with a simple email (no links or pictures) and the error didn't happen.

Thanks for your support.

I'm confused.

From what I read here, the Outlook Clipper is compatible with Outlook 2010 and 2013. The Evernote for Outlook Add-in is for outlook.com, not for the desktop application.

I don't use outlook.com, I use the desktop version of Outlook 2016. Is there a clipper that works with the desktop version of Outlook 2016? Am I stuck with no clipper?

If you installed the mainstream Evernote client you should also wind up with an Outlook clipper - it's sometimes necessary to restart Outlook or the computer to start things going.

gazumped,

I've had Evernote installed for a long time, and I keep it updated. The clipper is definitely installed, it just refuses to work. I get the message "Unable to load this conversation."

Take a look at these two screenshots.

<Sigh>  Some days, you just can't avoid foot-in-mouth problems... <_<

I did confirm the quote that Outlook 2010 and 2013 are covered - @Austin G deals with that here (from July 22nd).  Unless you can use the Windows App Store version though it looks like we're still waiting for the desktop update.  I'd recommend bug reports / support tickets so Evernote are aware of the need - and you may find out more from a slightly more coherent source...

I am also unable to clip from an outlook message.

Win10, outlook10.

InvalidCastException occured while trying to clip this item. This is usually caused by incorrect Outlook installation or previous version remains. Try to repair your Outlook installation or contact Evernote Support.

Technical info:
Error: 0x80004002 E_NOINTERFACE
Cast source: System.__ComObject
Cast target: Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook._MailItem
IID: {00063034-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}
Site: Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook.Inspector get_GetInspector()

I have removed the clipper from the add-ins and re-installed evernote w/o improvement.

Hi.  See advice above about reporting to Support.  It's also possible to repair Outlook (you'd have to Google for more on that) which might help.  That looks like a purely Outlook error...
