(Archived) Evernote crashes after downloading latest version

I was notified that a new version of Evernote was available 1.7.2 today, March 11, 2010. I clicked install. Now Evernote won't even open. I get the error message that it "quit unexpectedly" and would I like to send a report to Apple. What to do? Thank you.

Please quit Evernote from the elephant icon in the menu bar (if it is running).

Then download a full copy from our site and install that:

http://www.evernote.com/about/download/mac.php

If that doesn't work, please try rebooting your Mac.

I suspect that your installation may be corrupted in some way.
