(Archived) [Request] Annotations in PDF

Hi,

I use Evernote both to take notes and as a repository of stuff, including PDF files.

The other day I was reading an essay I keep in Evernote and I felt the need to highlight some parts of the text for later reference.

Unfortunately this is not possible when the PDF is stored in Evernote so I had to save it to a file, make my changes and then replace the old one with the edited one.

Well, this is really not practical at all.

Is there a wish list for future features or is this post enough?

In line with the above, one way round it might be to allow the user to choose what PDF reader he wants to use, and to use the in-built one by default?

You can Edit the attachments stored within Evernote without removing them first. Right-click on the PDF itself in Evernote to Open it in your preferred editor. When you Save, the changes will automatically go back into the note, and it will resync back up to the service.
