arobulack 2 Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 I've recently had trouble sending notes to my Evernote account via email. I've tracked it down to a misconfiguration problem with the m.evernote.com domain. Each domain requires an MX record to identify to SMTP server where to send mail. However, the m.evernote.com domain does not have an MX record, only an A (address) record:http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/lookup/?n ... 0e29f29014This is causing some of the SMTP servers (like the excellent, free Zajoni) to fail to send to Evernote.Has anyone else had this problem?
engberg 89 Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Thanks for the report, I'll pass this along to IT.
flicker2000 0 Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 I've had the same problem. When I send from Gmail, it works fine. But when I try to send an email to my evernote addressfrom my work email account, I get a "Relay domain does not exist" error.
engberg 89 Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 We updated the MX records, but it may take a day to propagate around. Thanks
coastalrev 0 Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 I've only noticed this problem today; is it part of the propagation slowness or is something else going on?Glenn, Lithgow, NSW, Australia.
engberg 89 Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Try again tomorrow. If your mail server refuses to deliver email to *@m.evernote.com at that point, I think that there may be a different problem.
