(Archived) writing a history

I want to build a history from scattered records. This means that I have to be able to attach a date (in the past) to a record and that I have to be able to sort notes on that date. Moreover, the notes will not be entered in the correct (historical) order.

I searched all over, e.g. user date, subject date \, but nothing seems to fit my version 1.6.1

Likely this facility exists but under another name.

Well, you could edit the date the note was created. I know that is what I do when I scan notes in a few days after I took them in class.

If you click the More Info button (the big "i") while viewing the note, you can see a lot of info (Lat/Long, Date Created, Notebook, etc.)

That is probably a good option for you.
