ej8899 175 Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Likely discussed before, and if so, this might serve as a reminder - but when merging notes when one or both has a shared link, it would be helpful if that shared link remained intact in the new merged note - or, at the very least, we have a message indicating that the note(s) have a shared link that will become obsolete during the merge.

Evernote Expert gazumped 12,641 Posted December 3, 2015 Evernote Expert Posted December 3, 2015 When you merge a note, the individual notes are moved to the Trash folder, and a new note created out of the content, which by definition has a new and different UID - hence the link breaking. There are other situations in which note links disappear (exporting to ENEX forinstance) and none of those generate warning messages either...
