Level 5* DTLow 5,736 Posted December 2, 2015 Level 5* Share Posted December 2, 2015 I'm not an expert on this so hopefully you might get a better answer from someone else.I think it's a good sign that your notes are on the web; it means they are not lost.I would probably delete EN from my Mac and then reinstall. The notes would then download to your Mac? Link to comment
gkbristol85 0
I deleted in, then reinstalled it and still same thing. Couldnt find them. They are still on the web and on my phone, but cannot seem to locate them on my mac. Very annoying. Link to comment
Level 5* JMichaelTX 4,117 Posted December 2, 2015 Level 5* Share Posted December 2, 2015 Then most likely you are signing in the EN Mac with a different account that you are using in EN Web.Show your top level toolbar, View > Toolbar, and you should see your account name at the top left.Make sure that is the same in EN Web. Also, make sure you don't have some filter set.Goto menu View > Show All notes, or press CMD-SHIFT-A. If you're still having trouble, post back here and we'll try to help. Level 5* JMichaelTX 4,117 Posted December 2, 2015 Level 5* Share Posted December 2, 2015 OK, if you have definitely done this:Also, make sure you don't have some filter set.Goto menu View > Show All notes, or press CMD-SHIFT-A. and your notes still don't show, then it looks like something may be corrupted that a normal reinstall doesn't fix.So, you may want to try a clean reinstall.See How to Completely Remove and Reinstall EN Mac Link to comment
amanda_h 300
still same problem, new video here thanks everyone for your help hope some one has a solution! Since you're able to see your notes on the web, it sounds like rebuilding the Evernote database on your Mac will help to resolve this. To rebuild your Evernote for Mac database, follow these steps: 1. Open Evernote for Mac 2. Select **Evernote > About Evernote** 3. Press and hold the **Option** key and select **Open database folder** (keep this folder open) 4. Select **Evernote > Quit Evernote** from the menu bar 5. Move the numbered folder from the database folder to your computer's desktop * If you have more than one numbered folder, move each one 6. Open Evernote and log in to your Evernote account Evernote will download all of your synced notes from the servers and create a new database on your computer. You can then import any exported notes by selecting File > Import Notes from the menu bar. I hope that helps, let me know if you have any questions! Link to comment
