One message is deleted per each delete key press (not the one you are working on). Link to comment

Never known the Clipper to be involved with random deletions - would suggest you try the same operation via another browser to see if this persists, and maybe uninstall/ reinstall Chrome to see if it's a browser issue. Updates to their software have caused the occasional problem, perhaps your is the first of a trend... Link to comment
