How to make a notebook in Evernote local - that will not sync

I have a folder that I want to have on my Evernote only on my local computer. I don't want it to sync on-line or to my other devices.

 

I thought I had done it to one of my folders but not sure and don't know how to check.

While you can't change the synced notebook to a local one, you can create a new local notebook then move those notes to the local notebook.

 

To create a Local notebook: Click File > New Notebook > New Local Notebook

 

To move multiple notes to a new notebook, select all the notes (shift+click) then on the right side you will see a button that says 'Move to notebook'.

I was able to create a new "local" notebook and move my notes into it. Thanks for the posts.

The Mac instructions said to hold Option and select File -> New Local Notebook.

I had to press Control + Option to get New Local Notebook to show up in the File menu.
