Evernote Application v6.1.1 Unresponsive on Mac El Capitan

Recommended Posts

On launching Evernote I get the Mac beachball (application unresponsive). The app is open but I can't do anything with it.

I thought I would leave it for awhile and it would go away but It stays that way for a very long time.

How do I fix this issue?

Thanks,

Joe

NOTE: (edit) I deleted the application and reinstalled it from the Mac App Store. No better results, the same issue exists.

Hi.  You might want to (cautiously) try one of the betas released in the last few weeks - at least read the posts; it'll give you some idea of what's coming down the pike for 6.2 public

Hello again @gazumped, no need to be sorry. I really appreciated that you jumped in to help.

I took your advice and issued a support request.

Support sent me back instructions to get the activity log file to send them.

I didn’t think I was going to be able to follow their instructions since I was asked to launch Evernote to get the activity log files from the help drop down menu.

Evernote goes unresponsive after launching. There’s usually a delay of about 2 seconds before it goes into an unresponsive state so I launched it and rushed to get to the activity log. I was able to get the log and guess what...

Once I did that Evernote is now working again and the spinning beachball does not appear.

So it seems some magic happened or perhaps something occurred by following your their instructions to get the activity log.

Thanks for responding and have a super weekend.
