Can you recreate your original note? How has it 'shrunk down'? - If you don't know about this stuff I'd suggest you consider it corrupted and start over. There's no standard process that I'm aware of that might get you into that situation, and it's definitely not Evernote-related, It does seem like suspicious activity, and I'd recommend deleting the original note as soon as you can.
