Search function - Partial words

Hi,

 

I've got a problem with the search function on the windows interface.

Evernote does not show results when the beginning of the words is not included in the search term.

For Example: I need the Note for "Noradrenalin" and enter the search term "adrenalin"

Now my Note for Noradrenalin will not be displayed in the results.

 

The same search works perfectly with the App on my tablet and shows the me the "Nordadrenalin" Note.

 

Is it a bug or feature?

That could be a feature - the search syntax already specfies that partial word searches only work from the beginning of a string - so " nor* " should work,  " *lin " should not.

So my suggestion for evernote ist to make the "intitle:" partial word search standart or at last optional!

Would be great to have to the same quick search in the app and on my computer.

Actually I don't see why it works on your app at all.. maybe Evernote are trialling something!  It's a reasonable feature request though..

I would like this feature as well (partial word search).  Mid-word and end-of-word strings are important in my web searches.  It would be great to have on EVERNOTE searches.

e.g. the word " Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious " could be searched by " *ious " and " *fragil* " ; as well as " super* " .  Thanks.
